I wanted to see the Shard and some other attractions in the City and the location of the hotel was super convenient. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was good quality and with enough selection (the coffee was awesome).

Nice rooms with a modern and simple look. The WiFi was ok and they also had an Apple Tv/computer that I used to send a couple of maps to the printer in the reception area (the first 10 pages are free).

The Skylounge was awesome and I really enjoyed the view from the top and took some nice night pics of the Tower Bridge.

Would definitely recommended and stay again next time in London.

The view from the sky lounge is incredible, but the so called Executive Lounge is a disgrace. No where to sit at breakfast due to more than half the tables being covered in dirty dishes, no cups for tea, no orange juice etc etc. the hotel room was very comfortable, and the staff were nice, but I did feel a bit ripped off. Over 200 quid for one night, with an unsatisfactory breakfast.

Room Tip: Don't bother paying extra for an executive room. It gives you access to the lounge, which just...

This past July my husband and I stayed with friends at the Doubletree, Tower of London for four nights. It was a great experience. The hotel is located across the street from the Tower of London and very close to a tube station, so getting around London is a snap. The hotel is clean, the rooms are not huge, but very well appointed. We had one issue with the air conditioning (hottest days all season in London), but the hotel management came immediately and fixed it, then comped us for drinks at the rooftop restaurant. We were able to use the executive lounge any time of day for snacks and drinks. I had gotten the reservation on a special offer which included a full breakfast and discounted price. A very positive experience overall.

Overall this is an excellent hotel. We were disturbed by noise in the night, which isn't ideal BUT when we complained about it in the morning the staff were very apologetic and instantly offered us a free breakfast without us even having to press the complaint further. It is service like this that will make me/us return. Service in the restraunt was poor but acceptable.

The hotel was very pleasant, modern and new. The staff were very helpful and polite. Unfortunately we arrived late and was not able to eat in the restaurant, but went to the sky lounge for drink and some nibbles, the views were fantastic. Our room was well furnished but felt bland in the decor which meant it felt as if you could have been in any of the lower rated chain of Hotels.

Hotel was as you expect for a Doubletree, staff were very courteous and helpful.

Room was a little smaller than I expected but had everything you needed, not a great view but not a bad one either, the bed was really hard so wasn't expecting a great nights sleep, but it was absolutely fine and slept like a log, nice Crabtree & Eveleyn toiletries too and plenty of towels (although they looked a little old and worn).

Executive lounge was pleasant, snacks in the evening not brilliant and they were very swift at removing the alcohol each evening - I didn't expect it to only be on offer for a couple of hours.

Area is good and location great for the tube and Tower Bridge end of London, strange in the evening as it is very quiet as office workers all gone home, great for sleeping but no so great for a night out close to the hotel. Sky Lounge was nice but chilly if outside as not easy to heat open spaces, the tables with heaters were always occupied and not that many for a hotel that size considering no where else to drink as local pub last orders tended to be about 10:30pm!! inside the bar was deafeningly loud, as we couldn't get a table or a chair on either of our 2 nights we didn't stay for a drink but the views are great.

Breakfast was good, well stocked and hot and staff attentive to your needs. Overall a great stay, nice hotel, lovely staff and breakfast and would recommend to others and stay here again myself.

Room Tip: all rooms are pretty quiet as the area is in the finaical district, so busy during the day and quiet...

This hotel is in a great location in the City, close to Tower Hill tube station and Tower of London. Very close also to Fenchurch Street train station, if arriving by train. Hotel staff is very friendly and they really have the personal touch, since I at least was greeted like long lost friend. I stayed in a executive king, quite spacious by London standards. Housekeeping was very efficient and thorough, beds made to perfection. Breakfast at the hotel was good but nothing special, maybe the selection of breakfast alternatives should be bigger. I loved the cookie that I was offered at the reception, delicious! Food at the City Café restaurant was good and quite reasonably priced, service was impeccable and personal.

Room Tip: Choose an Executive room with access to Executive lounge
