I can't imagine a better location for central London than the location of this apartment, it's right smack in the middle of the major tourist action. A short walk takes you to Oxford Street, Soho, Leicester Square, Piccadilly Circus, Chinatown, Covent Garden and all the theaters in West End. Several tube stations are just a few minutes away, and you don't have to step off the street to get groceries, breakfast, lunch or dinner, because there are several great options just outside your door. Or you could cook your own meal in the fully stocked kitchen in the apartment. The apartment itself is spacious with 2 bedrooms, one en-suite and one full bathroom, and comfortably sleeps 6. For a group of 5-6 people, I can't imagine better value for money in this excellent location. The interior of the apartment is a tad worn but everything is clean and functional, and it feels safe to stay there. Upon arrival we were greeted by a nice person who handed over the keys and gave us all the information we needed. Checkout is at 10am, but we were allowed to keep the luggage there longer even though the cleaning crew had already started to clean for the next guests. All in all we had an excellent experience, and would definitely stay again!
Stayed with 2 teenage children. Nice apartment as advertised. Excellent location. Less than 5 min walk to nearest tube station and 1 min walk to nearest supermarket (Tesco express). Restaurants and theatres everywhere within walking distance. Well equipped kitchen with appliances. Only downside was the mattress in the main bedroom was uncomfortable. Way too soft, you would sink into the mattress.
The area was loud but that’s the “West End”. The bedrooms are away from the street so didn’t cause a problem with sleep.
The apartment is as advertised with all equipment in working order. It's located in SOHO area and walking distance to Tottenham Court and Leicester Square undergrounds. The area is close to pubs and theatre but the noise level is minimal and you can't hear much when in the apartment. Area is safe and we came back at night multiple times with our 3 kids and felt safe all the times. There are 2 levels of access; one key to the main building and another key to the apartment. Thus, it's safe. There are kitchen with dishwasher and washer/dryer which is really useful for family stay. We met Roberto who showed us to the apartment. Although he was a little late when we arrived, he was patient and showed us all that we needed to know about the apartment and the metro systems in London. All queries were quickly answered. Overall, we were happy with our stay and would come back to stay again when we are back in London.
I made a change to the reservation and provided at least 48 hours notice. I changed from 4 nights stay to 3 but was still charged the full night. The reason provided to me was the reservation policy of 28 days non-refundable. I did not cancel, only made change so policy was not specific nor descriptive. The email regarding reservation only stated to let them know of changes as soon as possible otherwise a $25 fee. This apparently did not apply to my case. Very disappointed about this.
Perfect location for all things to do in London. Booking agency very responsive and easy to work with
This Soho apartment was really well located and within walking distance to theaters, shopping, and key landmarks. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. It was a bit noisy at night from the bars and restaurants and the street, and we had to have windows open due to high temps, but if the windows were closed, I think it would be fine.
Great location in Soho within 5 minutes walk to the Underground. We were all over the city and never took a cab. Noisy in evening with bar nearby / below but quiet after about 11 pm. Bedrooms are to the back and away from street...and noise was not an issue. Main bedroom is a queen bed and second bedroom has both a full and twin bed. Some descriptions of this apartment indicate king bed...and that is not the case. A couple minor issues during our stay were quickly addressed by apartment management. I was impressed. We felt very safe here...building is a combination of weekly renters and long-term residents. Key required to enter building from the street. We cooked several meals in the apartment and the cooking gear / utensils were all adequate...no complaints. Only feedback to management would be 1) to install blinds in living room area. A simple thing really...and would allow renters to grab their morning Joe without first getting completely dressed and 2) mount the hand-held shower sprayer to tub wall in second bathroom to make it a functional shower versus a bath with wand. Overall, we would rent again from London Life Apartments either at this location or one of their other locations.
