The hotel was visited by us on two occasion during our UK Stay. The first time we stayed in a first floor room. The room decor was dated but comfortable and clean. The continential breakfast included in room price, presented down stairs in a cafeteria style which was crowded at times the food was plentiful and of reasonable quantity. The second visit was on the fourth floor in a newly decorated room with shiney brand new fittings which was bright clean and refreshing. However, we have brought to management attention over two separate days, issues with the automatic bathroom light that will not shut off, the hot and cold mixer tap has a minute tolerance between scalding and freezing but they did fixed the exhaust fan to work however it does not shut off either. On the second day we reported this, the maintenance man was at the front desk, he mumbled it was another mans floor to both us and the reception staff member and in fact he was rude and embarrassed the reception staff member. We feel that that whilst we were trying to do the right thing for future guests this man had no interest in providing guest service. On our return someone had been in the bathroom and the exhaust fan working nothing else had changed.Feel that management does not have full control of the renovation process or the checks are not being done adequately.

Room Tip: Ensure room given that all facilities are working

Friendly enough reception though with a non fluent English trainee who advised she would need to verify everything with her colleague.
Tired furnishings, holes in carpets, paint falling off walls and bad signage to get around. I am English and found it tricky so for international guests this is not straight forward.
Room was actually okay. Warm , actually too warm and was unable to change the heat temperature even though the gauge on the radiator was move able.
Bedding, sheets and cleanliness in the room was faultless, however do not get room 5 in the basement as you will be confronted with the mechanical sounds of the back of the elevator.
Breakfast was not as bad as others have put on here. Clean, hygenic and friendly staff but I would suggest get there for 7am , any later and I would think the scrum down commences. One crossiant and an orange juice was more than enough for my day ahead.
Cheap, basic, clean and functional. For a female travelling on business it was okay. Thats all. Price was very cheap so dont have any expectations and look at is as functional.

Apart form the average reception , the rest areas including the room were very poor! It was noisy during the night and it was hard to have a proper sleep. The breakfast area was very poor and old-fashioned. They didin't change the sheets (4 days). Not value for money

We stayed here before, a few years ago. One thing I noticed immediately was that the gold coloured statues in the reception were missing! A pity, they gave a touch of class to this area. This time we stayed for two nights. The bedroom was a good size and the beds were comfortable with soft sheets. We were on the second floor and had a very good view over the small park below. The bathroom was also a good size. Coffee and tea making facillities were provided. The breakfast room looked very new and perhaps bigger than before. Two large flat screen TV's were on the walls. The breakfast options included hot and cold food choices and a selection of different drinks. The location of this Hotel is excellent. Two tube lines are nearby. Also, lots of shops, restaurants and bars. A short walk away are some beautiful parks in Bayswater road.

Room Tip: I would go for a room above the ground floor.

We stayed here for about 5 Nts and we had booked 2 rooms. The rooms were pretty large, clean with a nice & clean bathroom. The basics had been taken care of pretty well. The breakfast was well laid. Although, sometimes in the mornings it would get very busy and we would have wait for a while to get a table. The receptionist was very polite and the staff was very helpful in guiding us where all to go.
There is a metro station about 10 mins walk. The area is nice and peaceful. We had a good experience here and would recommend this to others also.

We arrived here about 5pm...admittedly a busy time for them so we were happy to wait to be seen...we werent expecting however for the staff to be quite rude and ignore us even when all other customers had been served. This would have been ok if the room had been ok. Our room was right next to the elevator, had no cellphone reception and a tv that wouldnt turn on. The elevator was going practically non stop til 2-3am. We could not sleep as it was so loud!!! Wont be going back needless to say

I stayed in this hotel on new years eve. I did not expect that my room would be on the basement, so there was no signal and I had difficulties to make calls and check email. The room was just okay for sleep - cannot say its dirty but not that clean either. TV is located too high so it was inconvenient to watch TV when resting. Breakfast was also average.
However, the hotel location is quite good as its only 5-10 mins walk from Bayswater station.
