Travelled with National Holidays for our fourth stay here in the past 3 years. Stayed from 1st July to the 5th.Would have loved a Canary Wharf view from our room again but 615 was a smokefree, clean and comfortable room with an excellent shower. The staff were friendly, helpful and pleasant and we enjoyed the food in Jennys too. Looking forward to returning here on the 21st August for another 5 days. Thankyou to all the staff for making our stay pleasurable.

This ones easy well not so much if you ever have the misfortune to stay at the Britannia this place is a total and utter rip-off - i paid £260 for 1 night and to be honest it was not worth more than £60 tops.

Ok lets do the detail:

Room: scruffy and tired, very dated, 2 x beds pushed together (total joke), No fridge / minibar and no water ! Again after paying £260 a night i would like even just a bottle of water....

Staff: rang reception and they were annoyed almist that i had some questions about the gym - also they told me i had to pay £4 touse the gym and i coildnt just add it to my bill i had to go to reception and pay up before i would be allowed in ?!? Like after paying £260 i wouldnt be trusted with the £4 - i didnt bother going in the end i just wanted to get out and never look back..

Look i could go on and the food (if you can call the cheap slop food) is a whole new topic but my sincere advise is avoid at all costs better to stay in a holiday inn express than this overpriced dump !!!!

This was my first visit here for 8 years and I wish I had returned earlier. A great location as a base both for working in the City and for eating in a choice of excellent restaurants.
The only complaint was that the breakfast room was a bit of a scrum but that was not really the hotels fault as everyone appeared for breakfast together. The service was excellent and it was good value for a London hotel

We stayed here whilst visiting the 02 for a concert. The hotel is one tube stop away and a short walk so it has that going in its favour but I'm afraid that was where the positive stuff ends.

The room smelt strongly of disinfectant and there were practically no handles on any of the draws. The bed was uncomfortable and made creaking noises whenever you made the slightest move. The room was like a sauna even though we turned the heating right down. It wasn't the cleanest bathroom (hairs in the bath.)

The staff weren't rude but they weren't overly nice either.

It's says it is 4* but i'm really not sure how.

Stayed from Saturday till the Monday for around £80 per person. Was worried becuase it was cheap but especially for London but had no reason too. Staff were friendly and helpful, answered any questions we had. Sadly one of our rooms wasn't ready upon arrival, we wanted to sight see so the receptionist said we could collect the keys whenever suited us. The hotel foyer and bar were lovely. It had many restaurants. We only ate at the pizzeria. Food was great and is open until 1am if you fancy a late snack. The rooms were a bit dated but were clean and comfortable. The hotel is in a great location, just over the bridge from the canary wharf shopping centre and underground. Easy to get to any sights using the underground, mainly traveling on the jubilee line. Our main reason for visit was to see Michael Buble at O2 arena which was only one stop from canary wharf on the jubilee line. If traveling by underground by an off-peak zones 1-4 ticket for £8 which will get you to all the main attractions. Make sure you have an update map of London and underground map to get around. They are located by elevators in hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a high level water view room

Friday to Sunday stay in London Docklands the family room was well used we also had a double room on the 10th floor this was very good (4 stars) wifi in the family room was very good a bit hit and miss on the 10th floor, breakfast was good very busy on Sunday morning.
The low cost and free bottle of wine made this hotel excellent value and will certainly return
Take the river bus into the centre of London only £4.30 good way to see the sights short walk to the tube station a lot of very good bars and restaurants in this up market area
Average for the family room very good for the double room all made excellent with the free bottles of wine

Room Tip: Refurbish rooms are very good book early we used a travel zoo offer

We arrived very early (check in was from 15.00, we got there at 11.30am) we didn't expect for one moment our room to be ready, but were hoping to leave our cases and make the most of our first day sight seeing. We were told by a very polite lady outside the hotel that they were testing some electrics and were very apologetic as there might be some power cuts, no problem ,maintenence work needs to be done at some point . The receptionist told us our room was ready, we were on the 9th floor, this was fantastic as a) we were early b) we had requested a high floor to make the most of the views. As we walked to the lifts another gentleman again very politely asked us our floor and we said ninth, he asked us to avoid getting stuck in a lift (electric maintenence) he would either carry our bags up to the ninth floor or would we like a drink in the bar, there was no way I would allow anybody to carry a suitcase up nine floors, so we opted for a drink, which was complimentary (again we were 3 and a half hours early for check in) this was above and beyond what we would have expected. Within half an hour we were told we could safely use the lift and were shown to the room. I agree with some reviews the rooms could do with a little bit of updating, but our room had a wonderful view, was incredibally clean and had all the facillities you would expect and several extra (iron and ironing board etc..) in summary wonderful welcoming staff, good facilities, good location (south quay literally a 2 minute walk) will definately stay here again
