Stayed here for two nights for my boyfriend's birthday, paid £175 through 'groupon' and got an executive room, dinner on the first night, breakfast on both mornings, full spa access (which we didn't get round to using) and two bottles of wine. So all in all excellent value for money!
The hotel is located close to Canary Wharf tube station, we travelled to Euston via train and then caught a tube to bank and changed taking the DLR line to Canary Wharf - so only about a half an hours further journey. It was perfect for us to get around and see all the sights, as well as being located in a very affluent and impressive area of the city. This would be an ideal stay if you were visiting the 02, as it is only one tube stop away.
Overall impression of the hotel - the staff were on the whole helpful and friendly. There were a few staff that were abit abrupt and rude but that is something you get everywhere! The room was big and spacious, with beautiful views over the docks! The decor looks a bit tired and could do with re-doing but the overall classic look does suit the hotel well. At the end of the day, it is a hotel that was used for a base for us, so I wasn't particularly fussed with how modern the decor was.

We ate in the Pizzeria on the friday night, the food was ok. Just pizza, nothing out of this world but was still fine all the same! The breakfast, again, was just what you would expect from a hotel breakfast - selection of cereal, traditional cooked English breakfast and 'continental' breakfast.
All in all, I can't complain at the hotel. We paid a fantastic price, and got exactly what we paid for! If we got the right deal, I wouldn't hesitate to return again! Realistically, I don't think many people chose to stay at this hotel for the decor - its a wonderful location, and if you are visiting London why would you choose to sit in the hotel when there is so much to see?!More
