“What a shame”
Reviewed 28 October 2013

Being a REP I have stayed in hundreds of hotels and this has to be the most disappointing hotel I have ever been in... The first and most noticeable thing is the staff using mobile phones.. Even while I booked in the gentleman in reception was texting someone.. Then when I got too my room it was dirty... Not the bedding that was clean but the walls and the carpet looked horrible.... Then the next morning after paying for breakfast to find it was self service...Nothing wrong with that.. But having to even toast your own bread I think is taking it a little too far... And surprise surprise the "waitress" just stood there on her mobile phone texting..... After breakfast went back to the room to see the maid out side my room ON HERE MOBILE chatting with a friend..to be totally honest I was made to feel as if I was more an annoyance and hindrance than good paying customer.... This place could be so good....great location... Competitive prices for London... Just totally let down by staff and room cleanliness

We booked this hotel because it was ten mins walk from the Albert hall. The room was quite small but clean, the bed was comfortable. An ideal hotel for 1 or 2 nights in London. Good value for the money.

A "budget level" hotel and not luxurious, but providing all you need for a one night stay. Compact room, but adequately fitted out. Friendly, helpful service.
Close walking distance from Royal Albert Hall. Overrall good value.

Nice hotel. The room was comfortable and well placed for the Royal Albert Hall (which is in walking distance). Beds were comfortable and the room was nice and quiet. Great if you are only looking for something reasonably basic but decent quality. On the downside, breakfast cost £7.50 each and didn't seem worth it as only continental and not much choice. Also, parking is a big problem - take public transport as the nearest parking cost us £50 for a night!!! On-street parking is limited to local residents.

I decided to book here after seeing what a good location it had. It is a three minute walk from Gloucester road station and thirty seconds to the natural history museum. We knew we wouldn't be in the hotel a huge amount of time so it sounded ideal, we arrived and were given our key. The room was small but I had expected this, the bathroom is basic but done well. it is a very good price for such an excellent location. If you intend to spend lots of time in your hotel room then this probably isn't for you. I would definitely stay here again for the ease and price.

check in OK given key to our room (505) opened door and now i know how Gulliver felt when he woke up in Lilliput to say it was small is a understatement and the bathroom is a sight to behold the shower is so small you could not bend to wash your lower legs you had to squat down to do that task, the bed linen thank god was clean, the bed touched walls on 3 sides and it was not a full double more like three quarter size. You felt as if you were standing in some ones cupboard , needless to say we will not be darkening their door again

Very small room, but for a short stay no problem. Fast and easy checkin, decent breakfast. Clearliness did leave something to be desired, overall clean, but not behind the bed. Some staff very friendly, others a bit less. Excellent location.
