“Clean, quiet room in good location”
Reviewed 27 May 2014

I stayed at the Eden Plaza for two nights on business.

It had everything you would expect for a budget 3* hotel: Clean room, modern bathroom, TV, tea and coffee, air conditioning. The room was very small, but I did not spend much time in it. If you have a lot of luggage it would be very small indeed!

The staff were friendly, the whole place felt safe and there were drinks and breakfast available downstairs if required.

It also offered free wifi which was a good speed, which is handy if you are on business.

For tourists, this is the perfect area to stay. There are lots of other hotels close by and it is a safe area. It is close to several tube stations (Gloucester Rd and South Kensington), is surrounded by lovely architecture and very close to the museums and Royal Albert Hall and Hyde Park. Near South Kensington station there is an area with lots of bars, cafes and no cars allowed, it's a nice place to sit out on a summer evening.

What can I say about the rooms , very small glad I only stayed one night, £150 don't know how you can charge that .
On the plus side near to tube and the Royal Albert Hall , lots of places to eat near by.
The staff at this hotel are very helpful and nothing was to much trouble . It was a little off putting to see a female member of staff on her phone behind the desk the whole time we were waiting for our taxi to arrive.

Booked this hotel for 1 night due to location & proximity to Gloucester Rd tube.Room was smallest double I've ever seen-think single student hall of residence room & you won't be disappointed. However as a couple well past graduation it was odd to find one side of the bed against a wall & even odder to open the curtains to find bus passngers staring in the following morning.
Breakfast is extra-my tip-don't bother unless small boxes of cereal & warm orange juice are your thing. For £ 7.50 you could do better at Waitrose on your way to the tube!

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the 6th floor at the back.

We stayed for two nights in this hotel, and found it OK. Nothing more, nothing less. Small rooms, with uncomfortable beds, in a hotel in a good location. Very friendly staff. The noise from the road right next to the hotel was loud, and required ear plugs to get some decent sleep.

Somewhat eccentrically, the Eden Plaza have designated their reception ground floor as the 2nd, allowing them to call the basement the 1st floor. I stayed in 101, not particularly tiny for a single room but very claustrophobic, with no window, and very warm because the temperature controls weren't working. Nevertheless, I like the hotel and will stay again (though never on the '1st floor'), because the staff are friendly, the room was spotless, and the location is unbeatable for proximity to the Albert Hall and museums. Tea and coffee are provided in room as well as a safe (free, unlike the last few hotel rooms I've stayed in).

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the 3rd floor or higher!
