Got this as a secret hotel on Laterooms.
More Shepards Bush than Kensington
The offer was good value for this standard of Hotel.
Breakfast buffet was a bit uninspiring. Lacked variety.
Had the bare minimum of a wide choice. Did not quite reach the 4* standard.

I forgot to put a note on the booking that my husband was going to check in first. He called me and the Front Desk person was very nice and helpful. I'd also double-booked so she reminded me to cancel the 2nd reservation so we wouldn't be penalized for a no-show - I had forgotten about that!
He had also arrived early but they were able to check him in.
The Hilton Kensington is a hotel we've used every year for the last 5 years whenever we are in London and I must say their standards have been consistent and their staff quite helpful.

For anyone who is in London and can afford the Hilton rates, this is, in my opinion, the best located Hilton - it's in a quiet area but a few minutes walk from the Westfield Shopping centre, a Cinema and the Shepherd's Bush Tube station which is on the Central (red) line. There are also two bus stops on either side of the road right outside the hotel, as well as a Tour Bus Stop opposite the hotel beside the regular bus stop.

Just back from a 2 night stay in the Kensington Hilton. As we booked the rooms via Secret a Hotels we got good value. The hotel is not very central but handy for the Notting Hill area and for a quick shopping trip to Westfield which is only 5 minutes down the road. Checking in was swift and professional, the room and especially the bathroom were on the small side but adequate for a short stay. Noise levels are low and beds comfortable so we had a good night's sleep. Breakfast was very average, I advice guests to have their night caps in the nearest pub as the bar bill was extortionate!

Check in was easy and actually out of the hundreds of hotels I've stayed at, I felt a bit of personal; service and greeted genuinely nicely and no fake 'HELLO SIIIRR"
The reception lady must have seen that I had a long day travelling (I looked like hell) and actually quietly offering me a room upgrade. I declined as it was a twin rom and I needed a double bed but the offer was still very refreshing.

Good points:

-The check in staff and first impressions
-Gym - Although it was small is had good equipment inside. I can imagine in a hotel this size though that could get busy very quickly, I went around 4PM.
-Clean rooms and nice bed

Where the could improve

-I ordered an iron to do my shirt for heading out to meet friends - Took 3 calls and 20 minutes. not impressed at that at all.
-Room Size - I'm not joking, this is the smaller room I've ever ever stayed in. I'm felt very enclosed all night and didn't enjoy my shower in the morning at all.
-I ordered food at the bar on my return from night out to deliver to the room It never arrived and I was charged. (I've since spoken to manager who refunded my card but also insisted they did knock to deliver my food - if it took that long for a pizza I fell asleep, then hey... )

Would I stay again? If I could have a bigger room yes. If they are all that size then no.

Loved the residential feel of the neighborhood with convenient fruit stands and grocers. Not much around in terms of restaurants, nightlife or things to see or do. Long walk to the tube station, very inconvenient as the line to Kensington Olympia only runs on special occasion. Larger than average rooms for London but nothing special.

Very high standard. Clean and nice room with comfortable bed. Not the most interesting area, as it is quite far from London's main attractions, but Shepherd's Bush tube/bus station is just 5 minutes walk away so getting to central London is done easily. All in all very satisfied with my stay!

I cannot speak too highly of the service and environment offered at The Kensington Hilton, which is an ideal base from which to visit parts of the city. The 94 bus passes outside the entrance and links west to Central London. The hotel iself is quiet, clean and efficiently run by friendly staff.
