My wife an I decided to stay at the Intercontinental Park Lane as part of our wedding anniversary celebrations. We used points for a one night stay. If I had paid the going rate. starts at GBP 500 per night I would of been very disappointed. The room was small and while having a nice view over Park Lane and grounds it was not worth the GBP 500 that would need to be saved to stay in such a room. I think they must save such rooms for point users as we will not complain as we haven't really paid for the night. Breakfast was very good and top rate. Maybe I will stay next time as a paying guest and see what type of room I receive.

Room Tip: High level room away from hustle and bustle of Park Lane

Dear JamDown4,

Thank you for sending us your feedback and for choosing InterContinental London Park Lane for your recent stay.

I was very concerned to read that you felt disappointed after your stay with us. I would like to assure you that we treat all our guest equally and we value our IHG rewards members like yourself very highly, especially when they chose to stay on their hard earned points!

We do try to remain competitive with other London hotels, but I am pleased to share that the rooms that are facing Hyde Park are not our smallest category. For more information on our the room types and sizes please visit our web site parklane.intercontinental.com

I do hope to be able to welcome you back to InterContinental London Park Lane in the not too distant future.

Kind regards,

My wife and I were here last week and we both had a spa session of massage and facial. The spa area is very calming and there are seating areas for waiting before and after. My back massage was done by Amy, who was charming. If you wished to indulge in conversation you could, if not then you can just wallow in the atmosphere. Following a good massage I then had a facial. Apart from a face pack at home at the wife's insistence, I have not had one before. This was very nice indeed and I may just have another sometime. After and hour my wife and I met in the seating area and had a glass of champagne to relax a little before going home. A great way to relax after a day's work in a good location. The fact that this was on a voucher type offer made it even better. Indulge yourself.

Room Tip: Not stayed here.

Fantastic hotel with top notch service, facilities and location. Would recommend this hotel and will return.

Room was spacious with nice touches and furniture. The food was lovely and prices although slightly expensive but acceptable.

It is a nice hotel, the rooms are really great, the service is not more than ok (slow), and the location is fine. But in comparison to other choices, I wouldn't go back here. Value for money - I usually find better choices.

I have stayed here on a number of occasions, for business and can honestly say this is one of the nicest hotels in London.

Very well situated for Park Lane.

Superb 'afternoon tea'

The bedrooms are great, and I've been in the whole range of them, from, 'basic' to 'club'. The showers are super and the complimentary toiletries are a nice touch.

Beds are super comfortable.

Wi-Fi is fast and reliable.

Highly recommend - certainly my 'first choice' for business trips to London.

Room Tip: The higher the better.

I always like Inter Continental Hotels, except the one in Istanbul :-)

This is really a classy nice hotel, in the middle of everything. I had stayed many times. As long as I can afford, this is one my favorite location in London. As I like walking a lot, I can walk to everywhere, the service is very good. Strongly recommended.

I went to an afternoon tea today with a friend. I am a vegetarian, and was pleased that they offer a vegetarian option. The food wasn't extraordinary (though it was perfectly nice), but the service was pretty terrible. The server only came when she had something specific to do (drop off scones), and it took me quite a long time to catch her attention when we needed more tea. At the end, I actually had to go find her (we had been finished eating for a long time, and we had been there for about two hours). She packed up what was left and brought the bill for the tip, since we had come with a groupon voucher and had paid ahead of time. It did make me wonder if we were ignored because we came with a groupon voucher, since she showed a lot more attention to another table nearby. For the price, I expected much better treatment.

Dear Christin W,

Thank you for writing a review about your recent experience at the Wellington Lounge.

I am delighted to learn that you enjoy our Afternoon tea vegetarian choice, however I am really sorry to hear that the service was not up to your expectations.
I can reassure that neither myself of any of my team members reserve different treatment based on vouchers, offers, or full price paid.

This experience does not represent our hard work and our aim to achieve and maintain the highest standard of service, I am currently investigating the issue with my team and we are committed on rectify any poor performance.

I really hope you will give us the chance to change the perception you got few days ago.
