“happy!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 May 2014

Nicely upgraded, a little more costly, but still well worth it for the location. I love Hyde Park and the weather happened to be fantastic. I suggest the Park view, nice to just people watch. One big factor is that they have a car park! Nice bar in the lobby with a very good breakfast bar. Right down the cobblestone alley is our fav pub -The Phoenix. Very close to a Tesco Express and many restaurants and souvenir shops.

My husband and I stayed here for the May Bank Holiday weekend and we look forward to visiting again soon. The hotel is in a wonderful location and on check-in, nothing was too much for the friendly and attentive staff at reception. We were given the keys to Room 515 which had marvelous views over Hyde Park, the room was spacious, spotless and modern. In actual fact, at nearly 8 months pregnant, I had one of the best night's sleep I've had in a long time in this room! The hotel is beside a whole host of amenities and is beside Queensway tube station which makes it very accessible to all the main tourist attractions. It is also a mere 15-minute stroll to Kensington High Street. Our breakfast in the morning was second-to-none with excellent quality produce, complimentary newspaper and friendly and efficient service. We had parked our car at the hotel for a reasonable stg25 a night and there were no time constraints the next day and having to vacate after the 24 hours were up. I have already recommended this hotel for its exemplary hospitality and attention to detail and we look forward to seeing you again soon. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We stayed here for the weekend just gone and would definitely stay again.
The price we paid was slightly less than the standard price due to booking through an internet deal website. This did not include breakfast which was £12.50 (if pre-booked, £17.50 if not).
We do not know what the breakfast was like as we didn't want to pre-book or pay £17.50 so we went to a local cafe which was very nice and cheaper. There are plenty of local cafes and coffee shops just around the corner.
The room was hard to fault. Our only real complaint was that there was not opportunity to open the windows to let the "fresh" air in. The air-conditioning was pretty good though.
The bed was big and comfortable (king size). Bathroom was clean and modern (although not easy to take a shower without getting the floor wet). There was a good TV, iron and ironing board, safe, refrigerator, iPhone dock, coffee capsule machine and kettle. Complementary shower gel and shampoo was included but quite small bottles. Complementary mineral water (2x small bottles) was also a nice touch. It was quiet with only a little noise from our neighbour showering in the morning.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Location was great. Plenty of shop, underground and Hyde Park on the doorstep.

Not to be confused with the Hilton Hotel Hyde Park which looks pretty dismal
We stayed here for the bank holiday weekend. The hotel is close to two underground stations and is just two stops from Paddington. It overlooks Kensington Gardens so is in a very leafy suburb and is just 300 yards from Notting Hill which is lovely
The hotel itself is very quiet inside and in the bedrooms. If you pay for breakfast on check in it is just £12.50 and is good value with plenty of choice. Staff are very helpful and friendly. All in all a lovely hotel which we will use again. Make sure you go to the Electric Cinema on the Portobello Road which is an amazing experience

Room Tip: We stayed in a room overlooking the side street which was very quiet

This hidden away hotel is directly opposite Hyde Park, 2 minutes away from Bayswater high street and about 15 minutes walk to Oxford Street. It is a quiet hotel on a small side street and provides parking. The outside off the building blends in well with the apartments along the street making it very discreet. The designer style lobby is white'd out from top to bottom. Staff are helpful and assertive and the warm welcome cookies (tasted like quad choc flavour) was a nice little touch upon checking in. The room's like many hotels in this area are not large at all, they are very small (our's was approx 15ft from wall to window excluding hallway) but they are very modern with large flat screen TV, wall to wall windows and a perfectly working air con unit. The bathroom is very modern fully tiled and is very luxury. A pleasant stay for a few nights but may get too small for a week or more.

A fresh, new, very tasteful interior of both the public areas and the room put you in the right mood. The reception, which seems to employ workers from every country of Europe, manages to be uniformly helpful and competent. The room was well designed and modern - the bathroom even has a heated mirror so it holds no steam from the shower. Located between two tube stations, and with a bus stop for several lines (including a hop-on bus!) right in front on Bayswater Road. Two remarks: the hotel, like pretty much any hotel these days, encourages the guest to use his linen more than one day at a time. However, the bathroom has no towel rack where the towels could have dried, so by default we had to leave the towel on the floor, in spite of everyone's willingness to "save the planet." Also, the restaurant was, again, beautifully designed, but for the abundance of hard surfaces, the noise during breakfast peak hour is very loud indeed. But these are minor points.

Room Tip: The higher you are, the better the view.

Great location, opposite Kensington Gardens & near tube stations (Queensway & Bayswater). Room's aren't massive, but not bad for London, and they are comfortable with everything you need. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Would stay here again.
