“Will never go back”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 June 2014 via mobile

I stayed here for three nights and absolutely hated it. the shower temperature never stayed in one setting (it would go from boiling hot to freezing cold the entire time!) and the rooms were so small even by european standards! we actually ended up changing rooms because there were stains on BOTH bed linens and the staff was so rude to us i almost demanded a refund and left. the location is pretty nice but otherwise, it's a terrible place to stay.

Dear Romob218,

Thank you for choosing K+K Hotel George for your trip to London. Please accept my sincere apologies that we did not live up to our usual standards. I am sorry that you experienced temperature variances with the water system. We diagnosed a technical fault with a booster pump that affected 2 upper floors and this has now been rectified.

I would appreciate the opportunity to convice you to return to k+K Hotel George and experience our usual very high standards of hospitality.

Yours sincerely

Colm Kelly

I have stayed at Hotel George a few years ago and liked it very much. Just stayed there again last week and everything was fine except for one thing. You could not keep the shower water temp. at a comfortable setting. It would constantly change from extremely hot to extremely cold on it`s on, every day we were there. Our room was on the 5th. floor.

Stayed here in June 2014 for a few days shopping and catching up with family. Great location, close to the tube. WI-Fi in room. Bed very, very comfortable!!! I literally just lay down and didn't move until morning, great nights sleep! Excellent bathroom with open glass double width shower and underfloor heating.

Breakfast perfect, laid out buffet style food replenished continually and the kitchen made us perfect poached eggs each day. Newspapers were also available.

Out the back there was the most delightful garden...with secret pathways!! A tranquil oasis!!!! We enjoyed our afternoon tea there.

Would definitely use again.

Room Tip: Although we were at the front right above the entrance it was so quiet due to the quality glazing. S...

Another quick visit to London and another delightful stay at the Hotel George! We have stayed so often that it feels like "our home away from home". Great staff, always helpful especially in lining up a driver to get us to and from the train stations and Heathrow. We look forward to a future visit!

Room Tip: ...have always been well satisfied with the executive rooms......love 317, right across from elevato...

I stayed at this hotel back in 2010, after searching online for days for a London hotel which had great reviews, was situated close to a tube station, centrally located, and provided internet access. This hotel is very close to the Earl's Court tube station (10 minute walk perhaps), which is on the same line as Heathrow Airport.
Although the rooms are small, a standard in London in many cases, it comfortably accommodated the three of us. Since we spent most of the day out exploring the city and the rest of England, this was not really much of an issue. A breakfast buffet was provided with our rate which worked out to be a huge benefit and a great way to start the day. The food was very fresh and filling.
There is a garden out back which is a great place to unwind at the end of the day or even in the morning. You'll find a number of restaurants and shops within walking distance. One downside is that there is not much really to explore in the surrounding neighborhood but the proximity of the Earl's Court station makes it a great starting point to head out into the city.
The Front Desk staff was extremely courteous and polite and greeted us whenever we left or entered the hotel. I tried to reserve this hotel for my upcoming trip to London this September but unfortunately they were sold out.

I highly recommend this hotel.

Dear Craig A,

Many thanks for choosing K+K Hotel George for your recent trip to London. We are thrilled that you submitted a wonderful 5* review. Our Executive rooms are more spacious, include fluffy bathrobes, a seasonal fruit basket and mineral water together with a Samsung tablet. The upgrade fee is just £30 per night.

We would be delighted to welcome you back in September. Please get in touch with us as it maybe that your preferred travel partner has sold their room allocation.

Sincerely

I stayed in a single room on the first floor overlooking the gardens in back of the hotel. The room (and bed) was comfortable and there was plenty of room to move around comfortably in. There were closets and space for your luggage. The room even had a little "sitting area" along the window side with chairs and table and a desk. The bathroom was spotless. There were plenty of towels! I arrived a bit early, checked in and my bags were stored. I went on to a matinee. The front desk is open 24 hours. Someone is always there to help. I enjoyed breakfast in full view of the garden mentioned previously (it is lovely and very inviting). The food offered in the Breakfast Buffet was delicious and there were many choices. I was so very pleased with my room. I am hoping to stay at this hotel next spring 2015.

Room Tip: I would say that the rooms nearer the elevator are ideal.

This is our 3rd trip to London and we were quite pleased with this hotel. As is typical with hotels in London rooms are smaller than those found in the US, but there was adequate space for our 13 day stay in storing clothes (keeping some in the bag at first) and luggage. Rooms are clean and the bathroom had been updated with heated floors. The hotel is a short walk from the Earl's Court station, which made travel by underground very convenient. We used 6 zone travel passes for this trip and I would recommend that. Because most attractions do not open until 10:00 am we did not buy the 24-hour pass, but the one that begins at 9:30 am, and it is also a 24 hour pass on weekends. It was not a problem to get from Heathrow to the hotel by subway also, about a 30 minute trip. We each had 1 checked bag and 1 carry on, so it was not hard to manage. I would caution to look at the return to Heathrow. It was not a direct route to the airport on Sunday, and maybe other days, but it was not hard. Still a 40 commute. Breakfast was abundant, good quality, and diverse - many offerings each day, but the choices do not change daily. The cost of breakfast was included in our room charge and that was great. All staff were pleasant and helpful. They gave good recommendations for places to eat. Our favorite was Stata's, which is about a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Excellent Italian food and a very personable and efficient staff. We would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Rooms in the back would be quieter than those on the front of the hotel

Dear Workaholic 001,

Workaholics need vacations too. Is so necesssary to charge the batteries. I have just returned from 3 weeks in China, my first 3 week vacation since Hotel School.

I am delighted you choose London and K+K Hotel George for your 13 day vacation. We love your 5* review and your great comments about our diverse and abundant breakfast. The wonderful British strawberries are now in season, so there are bowls of them on the buffet for all your essential daily vitamins.

We very much look forward to welcoming you back.

Sincerely
