“En Suite health Hazzard”
Reviewed 3 April 2014

Only simple 1 night stop over whilst attending show. The En suite was really filthy and in need of drastic repair, before someone has an injury, trying to empty the wash basin!

We were situated next to a door which has no soft close or control so it slams when opened and the noise is very loud .

The WiFi is not really any use on the second floor despite trying all the connections provided.

We were not aced if everything was aright as we checked out perhaps just as well.

Shall return to Kensington, but avoid this hotel at all costs.

Pity

Room Tip: Currently massive building work being conducted across the road, however this did not affect out sta...

Really nice hotel. We booked as we were going to a gig at the Royal Albert Hall and didn't want to travel home same night. Very close to Tube and a 5 min walk to RAH. Staff very friendly, got a free upgrade plus a complimentary drink at the bar. Room spotless, bed very comfy and slept well (I don't always when somewhere away from home) Breakfast was included (continental) all very good and fresh and tasty!

Building work at building opposite but this is not the hotels fault! Could have done without them crashing about early on a Saturday!

So would recommend and certainly use again.

I stayed at the Kensington House Hotel for one night on business. The hotel is in a handy location close to High Street Ken tube and the Olympia.

Check in and check out was friendly and efficient and my double room with en suite shower room was compact but very clean and quiet.

The bed was comfortable and breakfast was fine - fairly standard continental.

All in all it was a good place to rest my weary bones for the night. I didn't venture into the bar and it is worth noting that the hotel doesn't have a restaurant, but there are so many places to eat close by and options to get a meal delivered (or grab something nice as you pass the local waitrose or whole foods) that is isn't a problem.

Good hotel. Very friendly staff. Location is great, very close to Kensington Palace and gardens and only 5 minutes walk from Kensington High Street - shopping / restaurants and Tube Station. Breakfast was good. Complementary cocktail on arrival. Bedroom was small, even though we had booked the "Executive Double" - certainly was not exective!! We were very concerned as there are 98 new apartments being built right across the road - we need not have worried as the building work was not intrusive at all. Would I stay there again? Possibly, but we have stayed at better hotels in London.

Room Tip: Street facing is best.

We discovered Kensington House Hotel after a couple of disastrous London stays. Tucked away just across the road from Kensington Palace and gardens and within walking distance of the Albert Hall. KHH is on the bus route straight into the city centre, stopping off at Knightsbridge (Harvey Nicks and Harrods) before hitting Oxford Street. Rooms have everything you could need , tea/coffee making facilities, biscuits TV, wi fi. Beds, shower etc beautifully clean and even breakfast is included. And if you're a senior use your buss pass and get into the city for free! We're going again in a couple of weeks time.

Room Tip: There wasn't a poor or fitness centre but we didn't want those. Our room was very quiet and...

The hotel was nice with very friendly staff. The building site immediately across the road ensured an early start due to the shouted greetings, songs and general sounds of scaffolding poles.
Ordered a full English breakfast- cold sausages, bacon, beans and plate. Hotel needs to employ someone who can operate a grill and microwave. It was obvious that the sausages were microwavable but weren't.
We should be informed at time of booking about the building site.

having not been away from Australia since 1975 and by myself this was a great place to stay
loved every minute of it. so much character and boutique in style. handy to everwhere and
hyde park, kensington palace over the road. The staff from management down were very
warm, welcoming and friendly as travelling so far from home this was so important. I had 12
nights in this delightful place and would have no hesitation of returning or advertising to all
my friends. A very ideal place to stay as it is so close to all amenities thank you all at KHH you
were great.

Room Tip: ask staff for a quiet room I stayed on 2nd floor at the back
