Stayed at the Kingsway April 2014. Excellent room and facilities in room. Very quiet road. Easy access to convent garden (5/8 min walk) and other attractions. Good local restaurants and cafes for breakfast if on the move for the day and want to watch the world go by. Staff very friendly and helpful

Room Tip: Room facing Queens street

Pretty reasonable rate for the location of the hotel; free upgrade upon check in. Staff were helpful and the room was spacious. Nice bar and restaurant. Only problem was that the mini bar had sensors - this meant that any movement of beverages were charged, however upon check out I explained that I did not consume the drinks and so they did not charge me

I stayed here with family for a weekend trip to London. The hotel is in a great location, very close to Covent Garden, couple of minutes from Holborn tube station. The rooms are as you would expect for a four star hotel, clean and with all amenities. The staff were friendly and helpful. Down sides, very noisy late into the night but given location not unexpected. Air conditioning was also very noisy. One tip, take hair conditioner if you use it as only conditioning shampoo in complementary toiletries!

Dear SGr4

I thank you for taking the time to leave a review of your recent visit to Kingsway Hall Hotel. It is my pleasure to read that you enjoyed the experience especially the service and the staff attitude.

I am sorry that you were disturbed from street noise. The bedrooms at high levels and at the rear of the property are quiet and my team would have suggested a move if the opportunity had arisen during your stay.

I will share your kind comments with the team here and I look forward to welcoming you back during your next visit to the capital.

Kind regards,
Burak Furtun

Very much an expensive but well-appointed hotel a stone's-throw from Covent garden. Good rooms, clean and reasonable, good temperature control in the room, very friendly and helpful staff at reception and concierge with a positive attitude. Good buffet-style breakfast, available over a reasonable length of time. Provided what I needed during a busy time in London. But one very unfriendly issue was the cost of WiFi on top of room rates - astronomic (c£15/day or £7.50 for 2 hours) and unnecessary, although the front of house staff were very accommodating once I had expressed my surprise. One other considerable surprise and a concern: the front-of-house computer systems were apparently running an obsolete and insecure operating system (Windows XP) (at least according to the screen saver), a poor indicator of their attitude to information security (which includes customer details).

We stayed at this hotel at a busy time of year, yet it was clean, friendly and professional. The rooms was a deluxe room and very quiet, despite the hotel being situated in a central part of Covent Garden (also handy for Holborn side). The breakfast was truly amazing, lots of lovely choices, including gluten free. The staff were always friendly too. The only downside, if there is one, is that the room was slightly small for a deluxe room, but this is being picky. We would definitely stay again.

The hotel is very welcoming. Good atmosphere in the bar - showing the world cup although we did not watch it. The lady behind the bar Cecelia was brilliant. The rooms are sumptuous and the beds very comfortable. air conditioning, you wouldn't know it was 20 + that night. The bath was spacious and the shower very good.. Leaving the next day, they still looked after me by keeping my bags until late into the afternoon. Thank you.
Over all a wonderful time in London aided by such a wonderful hotel.

Room Tip: I don't think there is a bad room, I was on the 5th floor next to the lift however, I did not he...

Dropped in for drinks, tea and a meal with family members on a Friday night. The bar area was a little plain and not exactly overly busy, however we were perhaps made to feel a little unwelcome whilst waiting for close relations to make their way here through the London rush hour. The hotel could not manage a tab that covered the bar and the restaurant.

The meal was very pleasant with good service - we were the only customers for most of the time. The menu was fine with a selection of dishes to cover most tastes and the prices were reasonable. The food was well presented and the wine menu had a fair selection of wines at prices that were not too bad for central London.

The welcome was genuine and the staff very accommodating.
