Stayed at the hotel last week, good location but the rooms were small. I felt very claustrophobic. I stayed there for 5 nights and by the 4 the night I was only replenished with minimal toiletries compared to the other 3 days. The female staff were not helpful. They did not understand the English language and on a number of occasions ignored me whilst I waited to be assisted on a couple of tours.
Very noisy location if you are expecting a nice quiet night sleep.
I thought that under the Accor hotel banner they would have higher customer service but was very disappointed. Will never stay here again

Room Tip: Bigger room

Rooms are small but clean and tidy. Staff were friendly. Location is fantastic only a few steps from Paddinton station, close to small shops, pubs and walking distance to many places. London sightseeing bus only across the road. A great place to be central to all you need. Lifts are included which is great for luggage. Perfect when travelling from the Airport on the Heathrow Express as Paddington is on the line and very easy to get a around at.

I stayed here for a week for business. While the hotel is really at the awesome location and has great connection to the Heathrow airport, the standard rooms feel a bit claustrophobic. I didn't have the bfast included, but the restaurant in the ground floor is pretty good and if I remember well, they offer some buffet deals for dinner.
Sleeping was ok, not too noisy but not super quite either.
Overall, it was ok and I would probably go again, except for one fact. - The shower gel they provided was probably expired, as I got an incredible rush immediately after applying it. Had to visit the nearby ER and got some cream and meds to apply for a week. Nothing dangerous, but uncomfortable at the business trip. Advice to the management - double check your cosmetic products. Apart from that, everything was ok.

After a late evening arrival into Paddington station, the hotel was a breeze to find and staff friendly and welcoming. Rooms a little small for the price, and you could hear the low rumble of the tube in our room, but the cost was worth it for the ease of location, cleanliness and air con on a hot night, plus it had everything you need for a short stay.

This is a good hotel for anyone needing easy access to Paddington St or the underground network. Nice air conditioned rooms too. Food is served in the adjacent Garfunkels, and breakfast was very good.

Room Tip: Just ask for an upgrade.

This hotel is very conveniently located just outside Paddington train staton. A standard double room is modern and has everything you need: toiletries, trouser press, dressing gown, tea & coffee making facilities etc. in addition to limited free wifi. The staff are friendly. Breakfast is served in Garfunkels which is attached to the hotel. My only gripe is the size of the rooms. The bed really is only a double - many hotels have at least Queen size, if not bigger. There is very little room to move around- with luggage, most of your floor space is taken up (although you could fit luggage on top of the wardrobes). That said, for such a compact room, it is designed as well as could be expected. One last point; you can hear the trains from Paddington and the air conditioning unit in the room is also quite noisy. I am able to block out noise, but if this bothers you, you can either use the complimentary ear plugs or choose an hotel in a different location!

Dear Guest,

Dear Guest,

Many thanks for taking the time to write a review,

I will share your comments with our team. I am sure that this feedback will serve as an encouragement to all of our staff as we strive to continuously improve the quality of our services.

Our rooms vary in size from small doubles to king executive. For future stays should you require a more spacious room, my personal recommendation would be one of our Executive rooms or Privilege rooms. They are spacious and accommodate a king size bed.

We appreciate your feedback, and I hope that you will give us the opportunity to welcome you
back to the Mercure London Paddington hotel.

Kindest regards
