Reviewed 4 January 2013

A very impressive hotel, clean and presentable. All staff at all times were polite, very helpful and went out of their way to be helpful. Was celebrating a 50th birthday and was treated well. Breakfast was delicious. A massive and impressive hotel. Thank you to all the staff for making my stay perfect.

Room Tip: Always upgrade and pay that little extra

I believe after looking at the photos we had a single room that stuck another single bed in it. Room very small and lots of noise. The hotel mixed their tea and coffee pots. Worse tea I have ever had. Was shocked such happened in England.

Went to London late November with the gf and we chose this hotel due to location and good price (€250 for two nights). Requested a bath upon booking and we were sent to a very small room, very very small room which did not have a bath. I rang reception who sorted out the issue promptly and we were upgraded to an executive double room, loads of space and great facilities.
Bar is pricey in the lobby, especially when it becomes residents only but the location, 3 minutes walk from Tube, Shops, Restaurants and Cafe's I'd highly recommend.

The whole stay was awful from start to finish. Arriving at the room we were greeted with plastic sheeting all over the corridor floor outside of our room reminiscent of a building site and not a hotel. We visited the spa in the hotel which was nice, especially as we were the only people using it for 4 hours. There were no spa treatments available however until 4 days later - we were only staying one night and can only assume everyone who should have been in the pool was getting a massage. We were told that the facilities were inclusive of our room price when booking, but upon arrival we were told it would be £8 each for 24 hours

We were woken up at 8am on a Saturday morning by constant hammering and drilling all morning until we decided to leave the hotel as there was no chance of relaxing in our room. Upon leaving the room looking through the door next to our room, we could see building work taking place but were not advised by the hotel at any point that this was occurring.

Before leaving the room however, one of the hotel staff walked into our room, without knocking and with no prior warning while I didn't have much on. Embarrassing much. We reported this to reception who apologised on the phone, but then nothing further happened. We sent an email to the hotel and were even more disappointed that it took them over a week to reply, and even longer than that to issue a full refund.

This refund only came when a month or so after my visit when the hotel invited me to attend a showcase to view the facilities for corporate events for my job. They seemed pretty shocked when I advised them why I wouldn't be coming and why I definitely wouldn't be advising colleagues and directors to visit and were then interested in helping me out.

A really unprofessional hotel with an inability to deliver the very basics. I can almost forgive building work if its to make the hotel better but walking in when I'm not dressed is pretty ludicrous.

Stayed for new years eve hotel in brilliant location 2min walk to kensington high street an tube station 1st impressions was good room was a little dated an maybe a bit small but more than adequate, room was also clean and no noise etc from anywhere overall the hotel was good the service was a bit of a let down tho, they couldn't find our booking for 20mins when checking in, the £ 32 hotel car park charge was a little steep an the £7 for an extended 2hours car parking really took the biscuit, then a slightly I don't care look of the receptionist when I told her I had being told there was no charge for the extension of the car parking! overall good for price as long as ya don't want car parking and not in ya room much

Warm welcome from friendly, helpful staff. Spacious clean room and comfortable bed.
Excellent breakfast with hot and cold food, vast selection of fruit, cereals, rolls and breads including HOT coffee and teas. I would also recommend afternoon tea with delicious scones.
Near the Kensington High Street tube station.
What more can I say !
I will certainly stay there again and have recommended it to friends.

Room Tip: Within 5 minute walk to tube station
