Stayed here for one night for business. Although I can't argue that it is in a great location and very convenient for Kensington High St, I think many other things let this hotel down. When checking in the queue was very long and the reception was so overcrowded I thought a coach load of people must have literally arrived just at the same time. It was very difficult to find my room as the lifts were very well hidden. When I did, my hotel room was the smallest I have ever stayed in - it was very awkward to even walk around the bed! Whilst generally clean, I found a few things amiss - batteries in the tv remote were not working, no coat hooks by the door (as I could hardly get to the wardrobe in the corner of the room this was annoying), stains in the carpet. Breakfast was average.
Whilst nothing I have mentioned here is particularly serious, I think for the price and that it is a 4 star hotel, the standards should be higher. Stay for the location and convenience, but don't expect to be recommending it to your friends.More
