“Loved The Lancaster London”
Reviewed 4 July 2014

Could not fault the service in The Lancaster from the booking stage - special thanks to Andreia for ensuring that both rooms were next to each other as requested and organising the shopaholics package - to checkout. Both rooms were on the 16th floor with wonderful views of the city, comfy beds and the added bonus of a fridge which was useful during the hot weather. Location could not be better, opposite Hyde Park and with the Lancaster Gate tube station next to the hotel travelling across London was simple.

Older hotel, nicely re-modeled. OUTSTANDING service. Very friendly, gracious and helpful staff made us feel welcomed and valued. The restaurant staff and Concierge, especially Sandra Pereira were truly exceptional. Wonderful breakfast buffet included in rate. Apples and fresh water in lobby. Complimentary 2 hr. free WiFi in room each day. 2 computers in business office.

Ask for room 501 for large corner room with great views. Adapter and extension cord graciously supplied. Outlets for 110, European and British appliances in room. Very close to Lancaster Gate and Paddington Metro. Across street from Hyde Park and several nice restaurants.

Highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: ASk for room 501

I picked this hotel as it was close to Hyde Park & Albert Hall. Got a room on the 11th floor and had wonderful views overlooking Hyde Park and could see London Eye & Shard in distance. Staff were superb, very welcoming and extremely helpful. Room was a very comfortable though the bathroom was a little dated but no big deal. Air condition worked a treat too. I only have 2 gripes, the 1st, I parked my car at Shepherds Bush and left it there as from what i could see the hotel had no car parking, but upon arrival found the hotel has a car park, No where in any reviews/websites etc did it mention the hotel had a car park (well not that I could see) My other grip £11.25 for a small glass of fresh orange juice and a pint of beer. I would stay again here and ask for a room higher up to get better views.

Needed one night in London left it last min & Wimbledon was on inflating prices paid £199.
The room was alittle dated decor , bathroom tiny with a very hot towel rail opposite loo which meant burnt knees! Moved 2 single beds together found packet of biscuits & a chip & many crumbs! Big lack of plugs, room was probably very modern in 1960. However...
Great location looking over Hyde park, with tube 1min walk away, staff friendly.
Did the job but I know there are better cheaper hotels out there, with a fresher feel.
