I think it is cheaper than similar hotels as there is no lift and hundreds of stairs - not for the unfit! However, it is clean and everything in order and the location is lovely: Short walk from Queensway on Central Line and even shorter walk to Bayswater on District/Circle so one can get to Oxford Street, Knightsbridge, Victoria station.. in minutes. the walk from the stations are down a busy, well lit high street with a variety of shops so it is a safe walk home at night. The hotel is a 1 min walk from high street opposite a leafy square. We had a big fan in the room which was most welcome due to the hot weather and the bed was very comfy. This isn't a luxury hotel for which you would pay two or three times as much, but more than adequate for a couple of days in London. I think cleanliness and location are important and it leaves you more funds for shopping!

Room Tip: ask for a 1st floor or basement room unless you are fit and can manage a lot of steep Victorian stai...

We stayed in London for a couple of days. The location of the hotel is very convenient and we enjoyed our stay very much. The room was small but very clean; buffet-breakfast was very good. There is no elevator, but that keeps you fit. Receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Walking distance from Hyde Park and good access to tube and lots of eateries around. Very much recommended. We hope to return soon.

We arrived early in the morning and the lovely lady on reception allowed us to check in early. This a great location close the train stations, shopping strip and Hyde Park. The only negatives where that our room was on the 4th floor and there was no lift, the room was very cramped, the shower was not great and the hair dryer did not work. However the generosity and helpfulness of the lady at reception somehow made it worth it.

A great location but one of the nicest stays I have had in London, We eat at the Hotel a couple of times and the food and service are what you expect - we had a park facing room and this made the stay all the better.

Easy car parking and a credit to the staff.

We stayed 4 nights at this hotel. It was clean and had all the basic amenities we needed. Rowshanak was very friendly. It wasn't a problem going next door for the key or for breakfast. Breakfast was very basic. The room we had on the front was a bit noisy at night because of neighbours; a room on the back would probably be quieter. The biggest plus was the location. It was within a few minutes walk of two good tube stations, lots of restaurants, and an easy walk to Hyde Park.

Very clean room and bathroom, professional staff, good continental breakfast included. Be sure to shower at night to avoid the range of water temperatures and be prepared to climb the stairs. Bayswater/Notting Hill Gate location a little inconvenient for site-seeing, but overall an excellent value.
