Description: Serving up hearty Texan BBQ and blues music, The Blues Kitchen brings a touch of southern soul to Camden High Street. Vintage music posters, mix and match grandma lamps, light fixtures made from tyres and sinking settee style booths, not to mention the knowledge that music icons including Gary Clark Jr, Seasick Steve and Billy Childish have played here, make The Blues Kitchen feel like its been here forever. With all American favourites, including the most epic burgers and buttermilk chicken on the menu The Blues Kitchen will have your stomach singing a more cheerful song.

Food was nice but had to wait a while to get served and even pay the bill. Great atmosphere and decor.

“Shocking service from manager - Shoreditch branch”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 June 2014

We were charged the same price for a round of doubles and a round of singles. Instead of the manager apologising he argued with me and didn't provide any compensation.

I've been a few times and it's always been good but I was really disappointed in the service last night.

Good music and Good food, went with a gang of 16 and had a great time but could do with a traditional ale on sale to cater for an older pallette eg - London pride

“Awesome Food”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 June 2014 via mobile

The venue looks brilliant, the menu is simple and tasty. The smoked ribs are beautiful but the service... Either they were too busy or there is a lack of training on both floor and bar. The bartender took a good 10 minutes to make a really easy cocktail and our server took more than twice of the time to clear our plates when we finished.

“Nice decor, average food”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 June 2014

I visited the Camden location - The decor is awesome and the music choices provide a really nice atmosphere.
We hadn't booked but were given a table for 2 although we were told that we would need to be out within the hour which resulted in some speed eating!
The service from our server was great however we were left hanging at the door for over 5 minutes waiting to be spoken to/ seated despite there being 3-4 other members of staff standing at the bar.
The food was nice although not amazing. The portions were a little on the small side - I had a burger and found that the toppings were pretty much non existant. The side serving of coleslaw was about a tablespoon's worth.. I was hoping for a bowl!
Despite the portion size, the burger was nice and they win brownie points from me for asking how I would like it cooked.
If I was to visit again, I'd order a couple of sides to bulk the portions out a bit!
