Stayed here as seeing Black Sabbath playing in Hyde Park, so thought it would be easier (and better) than drunkenly crashing into my flat in the early hours with my mates and annoying the other half. First impressions were not amazing, as someone with impaired mobility, being faced with a few steps to get into the hotel along with a door man/member of staff who wasn't overly interested in helping me. My friend was waiting at the desk and amazingly it took us 15 minutes to check in, that was stupidly long considering that I had already paid for everything online.
After eventually checking in and avoiding to slip on the dangerously polished floor and finding our room in the maze of corridors, the room wasn't bad. The beds were comfortable and the location was quiet. When we got back after Hyde Park we went to the bar for a drink, ok it's near midnight but the staff needn't be sullen and miserable!
Would I go back? Chances are I won't need a central London hotel again, but if I do, there must be better.More
