Spent a month in Britain at a range of hotels and B&B's - Rydges was the worst place we stayed. Staff were rude, condescending and completely unhelpful. Room facing Gloucester Rd had a window which would not close, making it cold and letting excessive traffic noise in. Breakfast on first morning was poor, with very little selection and no service, so did not go there for the rest of our stay. Wifi reception in room was poor and so slow in was useless. Had to sit in lobby for Wifi and still very slow.
Definitely will not stay again.

Room Tip: Don't get a room facing Gloucester Rd if you want quiet.

This is definitely not acceptable service standards by any means; please accept my apologies for the inconvenience and frustration this would have caused! Be assured this is not our normal level of service and I have spoke to the team to ensure this type of feedback doesn’t occur again.
It’s wonderful to see another comment on our great location!

We were here for four nights - very easy to get around, we walked almost everywhere! Staff are lovely and breakfast buffet is plentiful and yum. Bar staff could be more professional, but plenty of options around.

Rydges is your average hotel, no major problems at all. I stayed here with a girlfriend for a girlfriend weekend. Rooms were on the small side, but this what you have to expect in London at this price and hotel category. Service was fine too, no complaints. Breakfast was ordinary but good. Rydges is a great location for visiting nearby V&A museum, the museum of Natural History.... It's also just steps from the Gloucester road tube station which is on the Circle, District and Piccadilly tube line. The only downside, there are few bus lines that come direct to this area. There are pubs, restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacies and Boots all in walking distance!

nice room, good and fairly priced food, excellent breakfasts, charming locality, local eateries tip top. Staff friendly and helpful certainly felt welcome, even found and returned perfume bottle.

sink and basin stupidly slow to drain, flowers, strawberries and prosecco (never was going to be champagne was it) not in room on arrival despite waiting briefly for room to be readied. Why such small bath sheets? irritating. The room air con feeble, and non functional in other areas on occasion

would recommend purchasing a stinger to deal with the local boy racer in the early hours, he really is unwelcome local colour, he has a green camo lambo lookalike I believe.

Open top tour buses often seen as a bit naff are excellent value
cars booked by hotel excellent and I wish I'd booked one to collect us both from Euston on arrival, you would be well placed to suggest it.

Room Tip: would book 114 if calling again, just big enough.

Wonderful location and recently refurbished rooms so a nice setting compared to peer group price range in London (which are generally diabolical!)

The staff were invisible however - no warm greetings on coming back to the hotel, no feeling that we were being looked after.

No upgrade for GHA Platinum members - VERY disappointing.

And tiny bathrooms in Executive rooms - extremely disappointing for the cost...

Worth looking for a deal at the nearby Ampersand Hotel or something boutique for the price...

We had a king size executive room which wasn't huge but did the job nicely. The bathroom was very nice with a "wet room" type shower and the overall cleanliness was excellent. The staff were absolutely first class and were extremely helpful for anything we needed. The location is great as we were a couple of hundred feet from the tube. The surrounding area was very nice also. I would highly recommend the king size executive rooms and would return again!

An adequate hotel for a weekend trip to London. Rabbit warren corridors with numerous fire doors make finding your room interesting. Dim lighting in bathroom, much like most hotels. Very small bathroom with no extraction, so it soon turned into a sauna. Funny smell near foyer, like damp.
