“By far the best weekend of my entire life!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 March 2014

We stayed at the Grosvenor House Hotel on Park Lane for 2 nights in March for a Mother's Day treat, and could not fault one part. The staff were incredible and couldn't do enough for us. They were constantly asking how we were, helping us with directions and ideas of places to go, and helping us with bookings of theatre shows, meals and room service.
The afternoon tea in the park lounge was delicious and superbly presented, the steakhouse is gorgeous and the cocktails are out of this world! I recommend Red Daisy from the RedBar!
Overall, a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend to anybody, it really is worth every penny!

the location of this hotel is very convenient for many places, a few blocks from marble arch. it is 1.5 blocks for the US embassy so that was good for me for work purposes. the room was fine and the bathroom nice, with excellent products. i found my room to be cold and had a difficult time controlling the temperature/fans. i found it OUTRAGEOUS that they charge what they do, in this day and age, for internet in what is generally a business hotel. who goes to these places and doesn't need internet? yet you pay something ridiculous for it. the other part of the stay that was really annoying was the price of breakfast -- for one tiny serving of eggs benedict (albeit tasty) and one small tea, i paid 22 pounds. i mean, come on people. if it hadn't been for that i would rate it better but i really feel they are taking advantage of people by not having other options.

Took mum and dad as a present for their 50th wedding anniversary with the wife and 2 kids (not too young though), it was well received they charged a cheaper price for the kids! Adults were £33 each, not cheap but it was the Grosvenor! We had a wonderful waiter who was great with the kids. Was a bit wary it would be stuffy but not at all, really relaxing listening to the piano player. Plenty of theatre when the food was brought out and wonderful explanation which made a ham sandwich sound fantastic! Plenty to eat with sandwiches, pastries, scones and good selection of teas (coffee available if preferred). We wasn't rushed at all and before we knew it had been there for 2.5 hours. Only negative was the kids menu didn't come with sandwiches, it was fresh fruit salad, plus pastries and ice cream. Overall though a lovely afternoon, highly recommended for a special treat.

Thank you very much for taking the time to write a review. I was delighted to read that you and your family had such an enjoyable time for afternoon tea in the Park Room. The setting itself is indeed perfect with the view of Hyde Park and the classic look and feel of the room itself.

We could not have asked for better feedback than what you provided. Anna's Afternoon tea has become a favorite among our guests as well as local Londoners. Make sure you check out our newest offering launching in April where we have partnered with up and coming chocolatier - Paul A. Young - to create a chocolate inspired afternoon tea. It will simply be a stunning experience!

Please extend my heartfelt congratulations to your parents for their wedding anniversary. I do hope we shall have the pleasure of welcoming you back again soon.

Warm Regards,
Morten Skumsrud

We had a special family birthday tea in the Park Room at the Grosvenor Park hotel in Park Lane yesterday, and it was quite simply the best afternoon tea that any of us have had. And, as a family, we have consumed a lot of afternoon teas so regard ourselves as particularly critical tea participants.

The quality and quantity of cakes and sandwiches was perfect, with a good sandwich to cake ratio. They were flexible with the variations to drinks and sandwiches we asked for. And they were not precious or penny pinching when I asked for an extra glass of champagne.

The staff were beyond excellent - attentive, efficient and thoroughly professional throughout. At times, the tea room was nearly at capacity with at least one large party but the quality of service and general friendliness of the staff did not diminish throughout our 3 hours there.

The room itself was pleasant with views of Park Lane and Hyde Park beyond. There was also a piano player to provide some light background ambient music.

All in all, a perfect family day out. Topped off by a dream-fulfilling visit to the Aston Martin showroom a few doors down for my 10 year old nephew.

I recently stayed three nights in this property with my husband on a business trip. We love to come back to the Grosvenor each time we are in London. The location is great, convenient for everything. Rooms are comfortable, with plenty of space for clothes. The reception staff was wonderful in giving us a bathroom with bidet when we asked for it as well as a late check out. Breakfast service is impeccable and the food great. We had also a room for our daughter over two nights and she was given a lovely view of the park. We are already looking forward to our next visit.

We stayed in a wonderful room with an outside area on floor 1. Room was modern and beautiful and the staff lovely too.
I was staying for an event being held in the hotel and they also ran that with aplomb.
Great location with a 2 minute walk to Oxford Street & Bond St.

The location of this hotel is excellent, in the classiest part of London in Mayfair where all you see out front are Bugatti's and Bentley's! It is classy in the traditional sense, they knew it was our anniversary and had champagne and chocolate covered strawberries waiting in our room. We were also upgraded to a superior room that was in a quite corner of the hotel with a spacious bathroom and windows that opened up as well. The bed was the most comfortable king sized bed I've ever slept in, I didn't want to leave!

The lobby smells of fresh flowers, that were actually some of our wedding flowers so it was just amazing! It is also a quick walk to Hyde Park, and if you're feeling adventurous you can walk down to Buckingham Palace and the Parliament in about 15-20 mins.

The concierge was very helpful and the front desk was quick and friendly as well. Definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting London. It definitely is not cheap and its easiest to walk or taxi, not super super close to the tube.

It was with great pleasure I read your recent review and I am delighted to read your comments about the service provided by our team. The hotel truly has a great history and tradition, and I am glad you got to enjoy all that the Mayfair area has to offer.

There are few things that are as important as celebrating a special occasion such as a wedding anniversary. It is great hearing that the team created some long lasting memories ~ even down to the “correct” flowers in our main lobby. I will make certain that our Front Desk and Concierge team receives a thank you for a job well done.

I do hope we get the opportunity to welcome you back to Grosvenor House, A JW Marriott Hotel for your next celebration.

Warm Regards
