Totally Classy - The Staff is Superb - 5 Stars!

5.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 10 Sept 2023
Staying at the London Lodge now (10 Sept)....beautiful boutique hotel in South Kensington - London... Close to all major "royal" attractions.. located on a very quiet street. The place is impeccably clean and maintained. Perhaps the attribute I was most impressed with is the staff... they will work tirelessly to ensure you are comfortable and taken care of...for example, they have been relentless in obtaining cabs for my wife and I. Not a crazy, noisy revolving door, tourist hotel...but a nice, charming, elegant place to stay after a long day of exploring. My travel agent highly recommended it and I wholeheartedly agree!

This is the 3rd stay I’ve had here. Let me start by saying the service was wonderful, desk staff and manager Marina very helpful with transportation issues during a train strike. The room however was dilapidated. Curtain sheers were torn, bathroom tiles cracked and dirty around the edges and just an overall feel of dinginess compared to prior stays. I felt like it was really overpriced compared to the quality. Hallways were quite dark and dated and dingy in appearance as well.

Dear Aunnie,

I am sorry to find that we let you down for your 3rd stay with us, we could not replace the torn net curtain at the time as we were wating the new ones to arrive. The net curant was replaced a few days after you departured from the hotel. Apologized for this. We also asked our maintence team to mend the cracks in tiles as well. We als focus on clening the edges of the tiles as well. This time you stayed in one of our standard rooms, which we are planning to renew the bathrooms. Please kindly email me directly on Mandy@londonlodgehotel.com when you return again for your next trip. We would love to prove to you our normal standards. Many thanks

Best regards
Mandy

Loved this hotel. Is located in a safe neighborhood.Nearest subway station is Earl’s Court.Safe area ,clean rooms. If you have rooms facing the backyard make sure you are closing the bathroom window as spiders might make a visit .Nothing to worry if you are not afraid of them .
Will be back for sure .

Room tip: Close bathroom window

This is a lovely hotel with very friendly staff that is available 24/7. The staff welcomed us even though we were early. The kept our bags safe so we could explore. After check in our bags were brought to the room for us, which was a first for us and it made us feel welcome. When entering there is a lovely corner to sit and read or to relax a bit.

The hotel room was very neat and clean. All accommodations you could need were present. The room was roomy with a comfortable bed, ac, tv...
The bathroom was clean and sparkled. This is something we find very important and we were happy that it was so clean.

Since the weather was bad, they suggested things we could do such as some museums or shopping which was very kind of them.

After check out our bags could be kept at the hotel until we could pick them up to go back home. This is really useful when you have to leave later so you can still explore London.

The hotel is in a quiet neigbourhood and the fact that you have to ring the doorbell (when not checked in) made us feel safe.

We would definitely go back to this hotel thanks to the friendliness of the staff and the cleaniness. The hotel is not far from the tube or museums but it is still in a nice neighbourhood.

Room tip: Clean Very friendly staff that is helpful 24/7 available Safe neighbourhood

I had 2 extended stays at this hotel during April, and then May. The staff were very professional, friendly, and welcoming. The room and bathroom were clean and consistently well-maintained on a daily basis, with all expected amenities. I made a few personal requests which were fulfilled, and for which I was very grateful. The personal touches and the friendly staff (particularly Mandy and Malwina) made my stay feel special. I will definitely be returning.

Room tip: A short walk to Earls Court or Kensington High Street. Close to Holland Park as well as Kensington Gardens.

My friend and I stayed at the London Lodge for a week in late April, and we can't speak highly enough about our experience. The hotel staff, particularly Mandy, were attentive, kind, and helpful. The hotel's location is ideal: a few blocks from the Earl's Court tube station and nestled in the beautiful Kensington neighborhood of London. We were a short walk from the V&A, Kensington Gardens, and Kensington High Street. Our beds were comfortable and our room quiet, and our continental breakfast each morning included an array of freshly baked treats, fruit (raspberries, blueberries, and strawberries!), cereals, yogurts, and meats and cheeses. I look forward to visiting London again and staying at the London Lodge Hotel again!
