“Good room overall”
Reviewed 30 March 2014

Just came back from an overnight stay in London and we were happy with the hotel and our stay. Staff were very polite & friendly and the hotel is in a fantastic location, literally a minutes walk from the tube station which was extremely ideal.

The room was clean and functional with a lovely modern bathroom. However, the room itself, whilst a worthy 3 *, didn't feel 4*. It definitely needs a lick of paint to just freshen up the place. Also, the separate toilet felt grotty and there were a couple of stains on the door which, obviously, is never nice to see. Despite this, the room came with decent facilities, including a fridge, tv, iron & ironing board.
We also had a drink and some food on the evening in the downstairs bar- although pricey, I would recommend paying a visit as the bar is chilled and modern and a really nice way to relax after a day of exploring the city. Breakfast was also included, and was very tasty- fair amount of choice, although I personally would have liked to have seen more pastries- just personal preference.

All in all, enjoyed our stay at this hotel but would probably benefit from just freshening up the rooms.

had a great stay last weekend< on arrival we were upgraded to a superior room which was very nicely fitted out with the most comfortable bed I have EVER slept in< and was pristine throughout.Very friendly staffing from the front desk and housekeeping, great location with a very nice bar but we never had time for dinner in the restaurant<certainly next time.Highly recommended from this very well managed hotel.

Room Tip: 535 DID NOT HAVE MUCH OF A VIEW>facing the Shard would have been better

well located for business in the city. service ok. Room clean , functional and acceptable. Good night sleep quiet hotel. Fitness a little basic, need to fill in all questionnaire on health to release the hotel... found it not so pleasant to be asked those questions.

We ended up in the Novotel London by default on our trip to London. Out apt. was not good and we had to move out. Last minute.com were able to set us up in the Novotel Hotel and we have just returned from a 3 night stay. We are a family of four and stayed in a superior room. Nothing was too much trouble. The room was spacious and comfortable. We were given an extra bed for extra comfort. The staff were excellent but the restaurant lacked atmosphere and the menu was limited. We made our own breakfast in the room which was perfect. I will say that there were no family restaurants nearby but perhaps we were not aware of any. All in all a very pleasant trip and we would highly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Superior rooms for family's are a good option

Just returned from a long weekend at this hotel. The staff, the breakfast, the accommodation the location of the hotel were all first class and could not be faulted. We had an Executive Room, which was furnished to a very high standard. This is an ideal hotel for visiting the Tower of London or for getting into and around central London. Would highly recommend staying here and we will do so when in London again.

Have just returned from a 1 night stay in a superior room for 2 adults and 2 children. Great choice! Room 541 was a corner room and was incredibly light and spacious but most of all had the most amazing view. We were directly opposite the Tower of London with the Tower Bridge in the background and The Shard to the right. It had to be seen to be believed. I had sent an email prior to request a room with a view, but on check in when I mentioned this, the man could see the request but said this was not possible. Once in the room allocated which didn't have a view at all, we went down to reception and saw another lady and within 2 minutes we were in this incredible room. So do persist! It was spotless and contemporary, the frosted glass bathroom lovely. In addition, the sofa bed for my 2 children was ideal, as it opened out on to two levels with separate quilts, so for an 11 year old boy and a 9 year old girl it was brilliant. We opted for breakfast in the morning as children ate free, and we were very impressed with the selection available. Finally the kids loved the Mac Corner! We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return on our next visit to London

Room Tip: Superior room 541 was light and spacious with an incredible view

Had good rate for family of four in the holiday season. Small European-style rooms. Decent breakfast. Below average restaurant service. Slim pickings of walkable restaurants. Convenient if flying into LCY. Close to Tower of London and underground station.
