i was here last year and was hoping it would have improved, but sad to say it hasnt. It is still a jaded old lady with hints at former grandure. Its just worn out. 60s style, good quality then but 50 years of use hasnt mellowed it, just showing its age. Staff are friendly enough, but service quality in the bar is not quite there either. I was in the smallest room I have ever had outside Milan, bathroom so small its either you or the door in the room , not both. I cans say my stay was bad, the hotels location is perfect for my trip, but some updating required urgently.

I book 5 rooms with this hotel for the weekend. When I arrived I was allocated room 141. This room was a triangular room, very small. It was very difficult to even walk around the bed.
The bed was a " double" however my wife and I were just about able to fit ( and we are not big people). The shower required one to practically climb over the toilet to access.

When I complained to reception, the lady suggested that all the rooms in the hotel were small. And was really dis-interested. I suggest if the Melina show this room on their website as a " normal " classic room they will suffer greatly in bookings.

This was cheap and nasty accommodation, Melia please note - not your usual standard.

The only downside is a somewhat small (single) room, which actually is not that important, you don't spend much time in it, anyway.
Free internet in the room (not just in the lobby area, as in many hotels).
Food is really good, the offer is wide enough for anybody's taste.
Staff is very helpful and frendly, hotel is clean.
Location is great - very close to the main shopping zones, tube station is very near and connection to Heathrow airport is simple.
Altogether I had a very pleasant stay in that hotel and would come again.

Can't fault the hotel except perhaps for my room being a twin rather than a double or a king...The staff were very very attentive. Very impressive. The breakfast was brilliant, with the options of freshly made pancakes or omelettes alongside the usual.

Central location walking distance from Euston Station.
Spanish owned very clean, comfortable hotel.
Staff very courteous and pleasant.
Food and drink can be expensive but there are many restaurants
within walking distance.
Comfy beds, classic and tastefully decorated rooms.
Possibly more than used to paying but that's not uncommon for London

Very nice hotel situated in a very convenient location. Great Portland street station is 200 meters from the hotel and Oxford Street is within walking distance. The staff is extremely helpful and efficient as always. The level rooms and lounge are more than adequate and the overall experience is certainly positive. It has to be noted that breakfast is very nice and despite the hall being full there were no queues and the staff were very attentive to the guests' needs. Overall great value for money. Will certainly continue to be loyal to the Melia hotels.

The Hotel and rooms are always spotless and clean although a little on the small side, the bathrooms are very small, the shower is over the bath and you need to take care climbing in and out of the bath. Toiletries are good as is the tea/coffee facilities in the room. Breakfast a little expensive and the price of the rooms can fluctuate although it is possible to get a great deal some of the time, sign up for the Melia rewards before you book to get a better rate, even if it is only £10.00 cheaper

Room Tip: Rooms are small so upgrade if you can and ask for a larger room
