The Level room was spacious and beautiful. The Spanish-inspired breakfast and tapas and beverages were excellent. And being so near to
regent's Park was marvellous; an oasis in a very busy city. I highly recommend this hotel, especially th Level upgrade. Worth every penny.

This was my third visit to the Melia Whitehouse and as always a very good experience.
The staff are very effecient and friendly ( as a Melia most are Spanish ) we could have been arriving at a Hotel in Madrid !
Level exec rooms are very good except for the very small bathrooms.
The main hotel bar is most comfortable with good service and the executive " level " lounge really good with excellent comp breakfast

London with a hint of Spanish.
Class, cleanliness and comfort. Would recommend to all. Very close to tube station which is ideal. The area is beautiful. Not one complaint can be given to this masterpiece. Will return again to enjoy all the fabulous facilities.

We booked this hotel the same morning through lastminute.com as a secret hotel and we weren't disappointed. The hotel was very pleasant, the check in was reasonably fast (shame they didn't get the hint that we were in town for our wedding anniversary) and our room was nice, clean and the bed was huge! The hotel is perfectly situated for 3 tube stations or is a 45 minute walk to Covent Garden. The only criticism I have is that when we walked up to the hotel the outside of the building is very grubby - more like the off white/grime house! which was a bit offputting. Would stay here again but it wouldn't be my 1st choice.

Excellent hotel. Clean, quiet and comfortable room. Bathroom very clean with all necessary items provided( shaving, toothpaste, shampoo, etc). Looks so much better than the photos and I was a little concerned from reading prior reviews, but our experience was excellent. I would come again and would recommend it to everyone. Also a great price, considering London. Restaurants, pubs, rail also close and even a laundramat, which we needed. We were on the 3 rd floor, A/C worked great and didn't hear anyone the whole 3 night stay...... Check I was easy and concierge was the best. Helped us get great seats and prices to The Lion King and even suggested where to eat before and after. Can't think of anything negative about our whole experience.

The hotel is situated near 2 Underground stations (Great Portland Street - Regents Park), which is a very big advantage for visiting London and on a few bus-lines - there is even a stop for the famous "Hop-On-Hop-Off" busses. That being said its also a quiet neighborhood (for London).
As a family with 3 teenagers, it's hard to find a hotel that can meet a 3 person bedroom - this one did. So we went for a booking over the Melia-website and that seemed to be the best way.
We had 2 junior-suites, which are on the end of the hallways - so very quiet. Included in the booking was also "The Level" - that means a separate check-in desk, a lounge with free coffee, thee, cakes and sweets and soft drinks (all-day !!) and only for "The Level"-guests - its also nice that you can have breakfast there (very nice English Breakfast !). I highly recommend this - for standard rooms it is an upgrade - make sure you book this.
The staff is absolutely top of the line !
The rooms are fine (not great) - could use a "midlife-update", although very clean. Housekeeping is doing a great job here ! The bathrooms are small - but you need to remember that London is a very expensive city and every square foot is important.
The bar is nice - there is an outside terrace, which is great in summer. The choice of drinks is quite extensive. I highly recommend the house-restaurant "L'Albufera', they serve traditional Spanish cuisine ('with a modern touch'), and believe me, it is fantastic. Price/Value is amazing. I'm glad one of the staff of the restaurant convinced me to have dinner there. The other restaurant is nice but crowded and noisy.
I highly recommend this hotel for visits to London by Spanish speaking guests - they will feel at home immediately.

The Melia white house, is a top hotel with the best standards you can expect from a Melia hotel, and has a perfect location to visit London, the downtown on a short walking distance.

Also the situation right next to Regent's park, that for spring or summer is an authentic present.

Will be back for sure.
