Description: Fora Restaurant, one of the best Turkish restaurants in London, is largely the heritage of Ottoman cuisine, which can be described as fusion and refinement of Central Asian, Caucasian, Middle Eastern, Mediterranean and Balkan cuisines. The interior designed is based on Ottoman Empire tradition that is sophisticated and luxurious. The entrance door, caftan of sultans, wall lights and detailed wood works are the example of some of the characteristics of Ottoman tradition. Therefore Fora is considered as an informal dining house offering all day eating experience by providing authentic cooking at exceptional. We are always working hard to bring freshly cooked dishes to your table. Everyday, hundreds of guests walking in for the lunch, and we've got very short time to provide Fora's best quality dishes possible. No problem! Our experienced team will prepare a warm and rich food for you day after day quality and value. EXPLORE THE NEIGHBOURHOOD Fora Restaurant is good place to have dinner before or after of some of the local attraction. Jack The Ripper Walk: This tour is very interesting tour with good story telling including a vivid image of London. Nearby Mitre Square, where famous Catherine's body was found, is starting point of the walk. Heron Tower: Heron Tower is located in the heart of the city accommodates cutting edge bars and dining place such as Sushisamba and The Drift. It's double-deck elevator is certainly fast. You will fall in love with the view of London especially at night. The Gherkin: The Gherkin, a stunning architecture, is an astonishing place with its the panoramic view of London including St. Paul Cathedral, "Cheesegrater", the Shard and Tower 42.

Went here on Friday night, we had the set menu with glass of bubbly, all delicious. Starter was a mix of hot and cold mezze with fresh bread which they topped up if you ran out. There was a choice of about 7 mains, I had the mixed grill, all of the meat was cooked perfectly, tender and full of Turkish flavour. Dessert was a tasting plate of mini desserts, all very nice. The waitress was helpful and friendly, she let me try the Turkish white wine before ordering it, I was plesantly surprised and ordered a glass. The restaurant had a guitar player which was a nice touch and was not too loud. Service was good, between each course they asked how long we would like to wait before receiving the next one. We'd definiately go again!

“Good food and belly dancing!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 May 2012

Second visit to this restaurant. We had the fixed price menu for £39 for 2 including champagne cocktail on a Saturday night.
Good quality Turkish food served by attentive staff who seemed happy in their work. We like this restaurant as both times we have eaten there was a good mix of diners from couples to family celebrations.
The belly dancing was not at all "tacky" and was well received by all.
A very good night out and good value for the City of London.
The only downside is that its location is quiet at weekends with many of the nearby pubs/bars being closed.
We had a drink before hand at a pub in Spitalfields that is about a 5 minute walk away and at the time it was pouring with rain. Didn't dampen the evening though!

“A lovely experience”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 April 2012

We came here for my birthday on saturday night. Wow what a treat. We had a 3 course set meal which included hot and cold starters, and a glass of pink champagne (not at all cheap and nasty) on arrival, all for £20 per head. There was also a classical guitarist in the early evening, relaxing without being intrusive, and then the belly dancer came on at 9pm and things got livelier as she got people up dancing almost straightaway. The staff were welcoming and attentive and the food was of a very good standard. Would recommend this for couples or parties.

“Really lovely staff, food and at a great price”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 April 2012

I met some friends here after work for dinner. We had the 3 course special offer with a free glass of fizz!

All of the food was very tasty, quick to the table and the staff was extremely helpful - even guiding me to my hotel afterwards.

Will defo go again
