“We'll be back!”

John and Norma made our brief stay in London a delight! The rooms were just perfect for our needs, light and airey, peaceful and quiet, with fresh flowers, comfortable beds, a nice, clean bathroom, and a strong wifi signal that actually worked consistently, a rare commodity in many B&B's. Breakfast was varied and delicious, a welcome break from the usual thing. The Oyster Cards they keep for guest use were a terrific convenience....you just top them up down the road or at the station. John and Norma provided us with all the information, maps, and directions we needed to find a nice place to eat, a park to walk in with a little cafe, and transportation into London. We were so grateful for all the little extra touches and personal assistance. To top it all off, John and Norma are such interesting and friendly people, quite talented and their home shows the creative side of their lives so well. Last time we were in London we stayed in the heart of town. We have been converted and will be back with John and Norma on our next trip!

Room Tip: There are only two rooms, and in our case we took both rooms, as we had my mother traveling with us...

We booked this trip as part of our honeymoon in Great Britain. We had a great stay at John and Norma's Homestay. De location is perfect, just a 15 minute walk (or 5 minutes by bus) from the tubestation and 10 minute walk from Muswell Hill, where plenty of nice restaurants are situated. Also the Alexandra Park, with great views over London, is around the corner.
The room at John and Norma's was very spacious and clean. John and Norma are very friendly and can tell you all about sightseeing in London. The breakfast was also very nice, with fresh buns, fruit juice, fruits, different kinds of cheese, etc. etc.

Edwardian house in pastoral suburb street with many birds to awake. Muswell Hill is very "gezellig" (typically Dutch term for pleasant and easy-going) with many red double deckers to the tube and the touristic parts of London. John and Norma are really interested in their guests. It's a perfect homestay!

We spent a week in June/July 2013 with our 2 teens. It was perfect. We had the big room and the teens shared the 2 twin room. The rooms were clean, quiet and comfortable. The rooms were very large for London standards, as was the nice bathroom. Breakfast was excellent and plentiful. John and Norma are very welcoming and helpful. We have been to London many times but stayed here to be close to friends. We would go back even without friends in the area! It was so peaceful and relaxing to leave the sights behind after a day of sightseeing and come home to a perfect homestay...roses in bloom, birds singing, just like home. The public transportation is so easy, and the teens loved riding the double decker buses. Overall a wonderful experience.

My sister, and I, arrived on May 26th, 2013. We were so tired from our plane trip. Norma made us tea which was very much appreciated. After resting Norma and John suggested places nearby for us to walk and eat our evening meal. The following morning we enjoyed a lovely breakfast and left their home with clear directions to the bus stop that would take us to the British Museum. A lovely ride in a double decker bus. My first experience riding one. My sister didn't feel well by the time we returned to John's and Norma's place that evening. They kindly offered to help us find a doctor the following day. They did just that and we were able to see the doctor the following morning. We felt very well cared for by this wonderful couple. I would recommend a stay anytime. Lovely rooms, clean and roomy bathroom, great breakfast, and very good company. What else can you ask for when away from home. We hope they come and visit us in Georgia, U.S.A. Thank you, John and Norma.

John and Norma's B&B is as good as they get!
I stayed in the loveliest room imaginable - such a pleasure to sleep and relax in such cheerful, attractive surroundings; John and Norma have put a lot of thought and consideration into the planning of their accommodation.
Sumptuous breakfasts and a deep, hot bath at night - followed by a good night's sleep in a large, very comfortable bed. Easy access to the most interesting parts of North London, for instance, Muswell Hill, Highgate and the wonderful Hampstead Heath.

Room Tip: Trust John and Norma's advice.

We had two toddlers, and John and Norma were so accommodating. Our kids slept in the second room; we had our own bathroom (which we shared only with our kids). The rooms are clean and the master room is airy. The food is, as the others have said, great. I love a good English breakfast, and this is what you get. My only general recommendation for families with strollers is to bear in mind that you will need to carry those buggies (strollers) up and down steps at certain tube stops. The Bounds Green stop has an escalator, so it was perfect. The bus/train system runs so well in London; we never had to wait more than a few minutes to catch a bus/train. If you're used to driving, just consider this a different type of experience with transportation; we didn't consider the trip into the heart of London to be long. This is a perfect places for couples, families, friends, etc.
