I spent 2 nights with John and Norma. The house is situated in a pleasant part of London, quiet yet accessible. The room is large and comfortable and wonderfully quiet at night. John and Norma are the perfect hosts, friendly and genuinely welcoming, but as discrete as you like. The breakfasts set you up for the day. A really pleasant experience that I intend to repeat

John and norma could not have made us more welcome. Their home is very comfortable and reasonably convenient with public transportation. Price was outstanding for the product and hospitality. We would stay there again without pause.

We echo all the other positive comments about John and Norma's B&B. The location, in a quiet suburban neighborhood, close to the Picadilly Underground line was perfect for commuting to Gatwick or Heathrow airports, never mind to noisy, crowded, but always exciting downtown London.

Room Tip: no pool. no fitness center. this is a B&B!

Reading all the excellent reviews John and Norma have on Tripadvisor what can I add really!
They are the number #1 B&B in London because they deserve it. They offer a lovely big room and great situation (Muswell Hill), and they obviously love what they do as they offer a service above and beyond anything I have ever experienced in any 5 star hotel.
The only things people in previous reviews have been critical of are Muswell Hill not being central. I think its refreshing to get out of the centre of London, there is the bonus of a bigger room and you get to explore north London, Kenwood House, Highgate wood, Alexandra Palace, Highgate Cemetery, & Hampstead Heath are all worth a visit. And really central London is just a sort bus ride.

The breakfasts are vegetarian, no problem as the quantity is so enormous you really wont need to eat again until the evening, all kinds of cheeses, cereals, breads and pastries are offered, then come the eggs - Norma is a generous and skilled cook.

We spent 5 nights at the end of April. We had a great experience and the hospitality was wonderful. John and Norma are very friendly. We will certainly come back in the future and tell our friends to choose this B&B.

First and foremost, this must be one of the best B&B's in London. The area is fantastic and you can get a good night's sleep as it is very quiet. Easy access to Central London on the bus and tube (Piccadilly line). Great restaurants on Muswell HIll Broadway, therefore no need to travel back to Central London. John and Norma are lovely and we very much enjoyed their hospitality and Norma's breakfast. If you don't like big hotels, book your room at John & Norma's Homestay B&B. We will definitely return.

Room Tip: Ideal for families as they have two rooms and one bathroom.

We stayed 3 nights at the end of March with John & Norma and it was perfect for us as we wanted to stay near Muswell Hill and East Finchley and also have ready access into the centre of London for museum and gallery visits etc. The room was very comfortable, light and pleasant, the bathroom immediately adjacent was fine, and they were very hospitable and friendly; the breakfasts were also very generous. We will certainly be back again.
