Ideal for pre-theatre dinners, this Wellington Street branch of the ever popular Bella Italia chain of Italian restaurants is just minutes away from a handful of the capital's major theatres. Enjoy the well priced set menu or choose from the wide and varied a la carte menu. Whichever, you are sure to find some delicious food such as the Spaghetti Gamberi (spaghetti with prawns, Italian tomato sauce and a skewer of king prawns) or the Pollo Cacciatore (baked chicken breast with mozzarella, smoky bacon and tomato sauce and roasted vegetables and new potatoes or salad and fries.

“Very Helpful Fair Prices”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 February 2014

In London with grandson for a matinee show found and booked this restaurant on line. Restaurant is convenient to all the theatres. Good welcome on arrival and grandson was given a colouring pack to start with. Good choice menu but ask for the lunch menu as it was not offered at first. Children's menu is good value for money with a drink starter mains and pudding included in the price at £5.20. Being half term the restaurant was full with well behaved children (well done kids) and the staff were very accommodating to their various needs. The food was well cooked and fair sized portions at reasonable prices for the west end. Wouldn't hesitate to go back. Lots of space down stairs but recommend you book on line not to be disappointed as by 1.00pm it was very busy.

“excellent service and fair prices”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 January 2014

Looking for good food at fair prices, this is the place. Waiters were ready to accommodate your wishes according to special request, like not to include cheeses in a certain dish: it shows everything is prepared on the spot .Portions were generous, so leave some room for an excellent ice-cream at the end of your meal.

“Wouldn't bother again”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 January 2014

Went pre theatre and have been to many Bella italias . I find the food expensive for what it is unless you can get a deal and the meal I had was bland and disappointing. In fairness the manager offered to change my meal but I wasn't that bothered. Nearly 2.50 for a coke ( this is most restaurants ) I think is taking the p...roverbial so I'll be having tap water in future which will perfectly compliment the meal . Not that I'll be going here again

“Welcome haven”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 December 2013

We were looking for food on a wet night and happened upon this restaurant. Found later it was a chain but none the worse for that. Very friendly waiters that supported one another, we strayed away from the normal pasta/ pizza. I had a chicken stew with a tasty Italian tomato sauce with roasted vegetables and potatoes - there was the option of fries but this didn't seem to work. Desserts were good and a double espresso finished the meal off.
