Description: Bella Italia on Wellington Street is found in the heart of Covent Garden, just minutes from The Strand and the London Transport Museum. Ideal for pre-theatre dinners, this Wellington Street branch of the ever popular Bella Italia chain of Italian restaurants is just minutes away from a handful of the capital's major theatres. Enjoy the well priced set menu or choose from the wide and varied a la carte menu. Whichever, you are sure to find some delicious food such as the Spaghetti Gamberi (spaghetti with prawns, Italian tomato sauce and a skewer of king prawns) or the Pollo Cacciatore (baked chicken breast with mozzarella, smoky bacon and tomato sauce and roasted vegetables and new potatoes or salad and fries.

Came in with a family of 6 and were happy to find they had place (a couple of others were packed). The kids were happy with the kids menu (had a good pizza, pasta bolognese and chicken milanese), which also gives a starter, desert and a small glass of juice. My wife liked the pasta dishes we had (I thought they were just ok).
The service was a little slow - almost 30 minutes to get the kids main courses.

We called in the Bella Italia after seeing the Lion King show. We were one of the first out but were soon joined by other hungry souls! Even though the place soon became full we never felt cramped or rushed. We both order Pizza to which the waited added freshly grated parmesan. Wow, the taste was superb. It has to be one of the best pizza's I've ever had. Total cost of two Pizzas with two cokes was £24.

On a weekend break in London, we went to one of our favourite Bella Italia restaurants, and were greeted by friendly staff who were clearly happy to serve us. We were offered a choice of tables, and once settled were left alone to study the menu without being rushed. Our order was taken by a very cheerful waitress who had the knack of being able to remember everything without writing it down, very impressive. You do have a bit of a wait for food, but nothing too long, and when it comes it is good, tasty and value for money, and there is a short break between courses, which is much better than the pack em in get em served and get em out philosophy used by some chains.

After the main course, we were given the sweet menu, which is a little limited, but overall very good value for money. Once this was finished, we were allowed to digest our meal for a little while, before we asked for the bill, which came soon after.

Overall, this restaurant has given us good service and tasty food on several occasions, and comes highly recommended.

Not a lot of room here- we were squashed between other couples, who had to move aside when my dining partner went to the loo. It's not best when everyone can't help but overhear everything you say! However, the food was well cooked and service was quick, which is what you need at lunch time. And cost very reasonable too....... Not much to fault the place except if you want to have a private conversation!

In London with grandson for a matinee show found and booked this restaurant on line. Restaurant is convenient to all the theatres. Good welcome on arrival and grandson was given a colouring pack to start with. Good choice menu but ask for the lunch menu as it was not offered at first. Children's menu is good value for money with a drink starter mains and pudding included in the price at £5.20. Being half term the restaurant was full with well behaved children (well done kids) and the staff were very accommodating to their various needs. The food was well cooked and fair sized portions at reasonable prices for the west end. Wouldn't hesitate to go back. Lots of space down stairs but recommend you book on line not to be disappointed as by 1.00pm it was very busy.
