“Bank Holiday Visit”
Reviewed 6 May 2014

This was my second time at this hotel. Actually it was better than my previous visit. Enjoyed a good breakfast and dinner. It was a fine style. There is not a lot of parking, about 12 cars. But there is parking nearby. It is well situated. Charge for interest after 30 mins. No phone in rooms.

Room Tip: Family rooms are good for max of 2+2. No room for a cot really.

Pros: Cheap. Clean. All you can eat breakfast where Kids eat free. Food of good quality. beds, linen, pillows and quilts of good quality. Friendly staff. (Yana from Prague). in a nice town with plenty of restaurants and pubs.

Cons: Not good views. 10-15 mins walk from the tube station. Room tight for family of 4.

You dont go to travelodge to stay in the room. We used it as a base to see London. it was clean, affordable and i really have nothing negative to add other then that you are 30-45 mins away from london via tube service.

Room Tip: Glenfiddich 12yr was only £3.65

Friendly staff; beds comfy; breakfast great! What more could you ask for when needing cheap accommodation! Great restaurants in area! Only problem was the staff directed us the wrong way for the restaurant we booked! But a minor hiccup! Aside from that they were very helpful.

I stay in London regularly and have visited a number of Travelodges around the city. This one is a personal favourite. The area is very pleasant, the Tube Is just 10 minutes walk (to one of the nicest stations on the network), there is an M & S and Waitrose nearby and there is plenty of choice of good places to eat. It is right on the border of London so very easy to get back out and away up the motorway at the end of the stay without having to flog through the city traffic. Great value, pleasant staff and free parking (I parked quite safely in a layby just outside the hotel).

just come back from our yearly stay.firstly its a travelodge so keep that in mind very basic. its been improved the beds are much better. a very good location whetstones is a nice place,,good shops & a few nice places to eat. close to the tube station on the northern line. the hotel now.... can be a bit noisy if your room faces the main rd which is very busy, the other rooms are much better even though the vies are nothing to write home about.as i said the rooms are basic ok for 2 couple of days stay.they are very clean rooms. the staff are nice friendly & helpful.it also comes with a free car park (nice to have with an hotel around London) which it shares with halfords.
a good stay at a good price, look forward to next year

Room Tip: rooms at front can be noisy as on main road. other rooms dont have much of a view. no a/c in any roo...
