“A Regular Stop for Coffee”
Reviewed 8 December 2013

This place is close to the hotel we stay at in Mayfair while we are in London. We've always had a very good experience. Good coffee, delicious breakfast pastries, and they will serve my daughter their delicious homemade chicken soup in the morning (since she doesn't eat breakfast!) Nice place.

“Not Good”
Reviewed 1 December 2013

Very ordinary food - a "chicken risotto" just being plain rice with a tomato base and a few bits of chicken. Also overcharged us, prices finally charged being more than the menu and then to add insult added a 12.5% "service charge" - a nerve for a basic cafe. Finally the toilet wasn't working and looked like they just didn't want it to be used. All in all just like going to tourist rip-off places from the 70's.

“Worst place to eat”
Reviewed 1 December 2013 via mobile

One of the worst places I've been to. Ordered breakfast. It came after 30 mins and the sausages were raw! Full English breakfast does not include bacon because they can't serve pork. The beans were cold. Mushrooms are undercooked.
So they tried to give us a discount and have us pay £4 for a breakfast that we never got to eat. That came to a total of £11 for a cup of tea and coffee!
Avoid at all costs!

Awful service and food please don't go a disgrace to Mayfair and London. Very poor overall not recommended. Food nothing special and expensive for what you get.

“Alas Allan - started well but left feeling dissapointed”
Reviewed 3 November 2013

We were tempted into Allans after we were given a flyer offering a free tea or coffee. Had a peak inside, the place looked busy and the food on offer in the deli looked quite nice too. On entering we were given a complimentary lemon tea (in addition to the one on offer), the smell of which really got the senses going an raised expectations of what was about to follow.

Alas it was all downhill from there. We were shoe-horned into a cramped table between other diners. The food we ordered came at different times, my girlfriends coming at least 10 minutes after mine. The food that did arrive was also nothing like we accepted. My girlfriend flat refusing to eat her crepe, which was swimming in oil. I offered to swap her for my salad to keep the peace, she didn't have much luck with that either, once she got into it it was more of the same :( I really couldn't be bothered to complain so left feeling wholly disappointed, I was willing to put up with the cramped surroundings if the food had lived up to its promise which sadly it didn't
