Booking in was fine, how ever the ratio of staff to guests on the Jubilee weekend appeared low. The Gym was good and pool inviting, however 2 out of the foot spas did not work. The interactive TV channels were not working and getting hold of reception proved difficult. The room was clean and well prepared. We booked a table in the restaurant, this is where it was obvious that not enough staff were. We waited for around 15-20 mins before we were offered drinks and the same for a small selection of breads, to which were over cooked. The Waldorf salad ordered was mainly a bowl of Red & Green apples & Grapes, it was hard to find the Walnuts & Celery and my husbands Nicoise salad arrived totally undressed. Other diners were equally frustrated. We have stayed in other Grange hotels and never been disappointed, but this one just didnt live up to its good name. I felt sorry for the staff they just couldnt cope.
