“Poorly prepared”
Reviewed 4 June 2012

Booking in was fine, how ever the ratio of staff to guests on the Jubilee weekend appeared low. The Gym was good and pool inviting, however 2 out of the foot spas did not work. The interactive TV channels were not working and getting hold of reception proved difficult. The room was clean and well prepared. We booked a table in the restaurant, this is where it was obvious that not enough staff were. We waited for around 15-20 mins before we were offered drinks and the same for a small selection of breads, to which were over cooked. The Waldorf salad ordered was mainly a bowl of Red & Green apples & Grapes, it was hard to find the Walnuts & Celery and my husbands Nicoise salad arrived totally undressed. Other diners were equally frustrated. We have stayed in other Grange hotels and never been disappointed, but this one just didnt live up to its good name. I felt sorry for the staff they just couldnt cope.

Room Tip: All rooms seem reasonable, just the service.

We booked this hotel for the leisure facilities which were excellent. The pool was a good size and everything was spotlessly clean.
The room was also very nice and seemed to be quieter than most hotels. Room service is recommended with a decent selection to choose from.
We ate at the Whetherspoons next door a couple of times which was very good (and cheap!) and we ate at the Indian restaurant opposite which was nice, if not a little bit too different.
Parking is within a 5 minute walk and the tube station is roughly a 10 minute walk away.
Good hotel, good location and reasonably priced.

Modern clean hotel just out of city, nearest tube Tower Gateway, reasonably priced for London clean well appointed air conditioned rooms, Glass lifts on outside of building so not for people with no head for heights.

Room Tip: none just avoid top floors if you don't like open view lifts

Stayed here for a weekend in London and thoroughly enjoyed our 1 night stay.

The location of the hotel is good, a five minute walk from Tower Hill tube station and only a 15 minute walk from Liverpool Street, Bank & Monument stations.

All areas of the hotel were very modern and clean, as you'd expect from a relatively new hotel. We stayed in a deluxe room which was excellent. Huge bed that was very comfortable, lovely bathroom with bath and seperate shower cubicle, latest TV technology, all very nice. The hotel also sent a birthday cake up to the room as we were there for a birthday, which was a nice gesture.

Continental breakfast was fine. Prices in the bar were standard for a 5* London hotel. Didn't use the restaurant or leisure facilities so can't comment on these. All staff were friendly, helpful and spoke very good English.

Overall, an enjoyable stay and would definitely return to this hotel.

I often stay in the Grange St Paul and the Grange City which are both excellent hotels so I expected a lot from the Grange Tower Bridge. I was not disappointed.

The hotel is located a few minutes walk from Tower Hill tube station. It doesn’t have the most scenic outlook but that’s not the end of the world.

The hotel is modern and has a nice feel. The rooms are large and very comfortable and what you would expect from the chain of 5 star hotels.

The two stand out features of this hotel were the bathrooms which have a fantastic shower with body jets and a fairly large bath. Secondly the health club is really very nice.

The only slight downside was the continental breakfast which wasn’t that great but given that it was included in the room price so I guess you cannot complain too much.

All in very good indeed and I would recommend this hotel to anybody.
