This was booked via a secret hotels style website and we were pleasantly surprised when we saw what we had got. Unfortunately on arrival we were greater by an extremely snooty receptionist who clearly did not feel we deserved to be in her hotel. Both my wife and I were dressed smartly but it was clear that a far more formal attire was preferred. As for the room it was nice. Honestly nothing special but comfortable. One thing good was the location but had I paid full price for this room I would have been extremely disappointed. This is a business style hotel and I feel it didn't cater well for much else.

Booked through last minute. Very very very good price for a London Hotel, it's off the beaten track a bit but for the price it is superb. Nearest Tube is Tower Hill and a bout a 5 minute walk.

However, it's new, modern, well equipped great pool etc. Big beds, great bath and shower room. Very quiet rooms. I was on the 13th floor so great views no noise from outside. If you don't have breakfast included there is a Weatherspoon next door which is cheaper. Free wifi. Go for it.

Room Tip: If you like heights head up, ask for a City/River view.

The hotel's location was perfect for where we needed to be to visit friends, and since I enjoy exploring the city on foot - there's always something new to see in London - it's actually not too badly located for many attractions, though the closest and most obvious are of course the Tower and Tower Bridge.
The staff were professional and courteous; check in & out were quick and efficient. The room was clean and delightful with good views, a large, comfortable bed, a big desk, sofa, and coffee table. The bathroom was luxurious - the large shower had wall-mounted jets as well - and overall it was a very quiet and relaxing place to sleep.

The gym is well-equipped and modern, and the staff there very helpful.

Would definitely recommend, and would certainly stay there again, although only if I managed to get another good rate on the room (managed to get a generous discount through lastminute.com).

Room Tip: Higher floors offer great views on the north-facing side.

We stayed for one night in the Grange Hotel as we were taking part in the VLM, the hotel is well situated for the start, a short ride on the DLR.

The rooms are clean and well set out - amazing quality fixtures in the bathroom with shower and bath, and a great shower with jets hitting you everywhere !

We did not have the best view but we just needed somewhere to sleep.

Reception was well organised and management where around to assist as and when required.

Service in the restaurant for breakfast was slow.

Overall a great stay.

I have to 'fess up! I'm not sure how much this room cost as my boyfriend picked up the bill... The room was modestly sized but it had all the creature comforts.

The hotel is within walking distance from the Tower Bridge and the fantastic Borough Market (great food stalls) and Tate Modern etc.. I would recommend a stay.
