“Excellent hotel in good location”
Reviewed 30 August 2014

Despite a slow check in, lovely hotel, clean and modern. Good sized rooms with extremely comfortable beds and efficient quiet air conditioning.
Fantastic afternoon tea.
Breakfast was a bit boring and not really hit and fresh as self service buffet breakfasts are never the best.
Definitely would use again.

Room Tip: Top floor facing the front as you will have views of Tower Bridge etc.

Upon arrival we were swiftly checked in and upgraded to an executive suite on the 11th floor. Amazing views, fantastic service and the best night's sleep ever! The location is ideal approximately 5 minutes walk from The Tower of London and Tower Hill tube station.

Booked a stay here last minute while on a train to London, when we arrived we checked in while about 8 staff members simply stated at us which was a little uncomfortable, however the check in lady was lovely on the multiple times we spoke to her - however she was working when we checked in (Thursday 3pm) and was still working when we checked out the following day ( Friday 11am ), crazy long shift poor thing looked exhausted but still had a smile on her face.

The room was a nice size but the bed was far too firm for my liking, and the view was just of an office building opposite meaning all we could see from our room was a busy office ... But hey it's London.

We wanted to order room service but when we checked in hadn't been informed we'd need to leave a deposit of sorts at reception before being able to do so. Therefore we had to go to reception to set it all up before being able to order which was a pain.

The bar wasn't the best - and there's a cheaper more lively, cheaper pup opposite that you should use instead. Also in Radisson hotels you get free nuts with any drink purchase no such luxury here.

We also had an issue with the sink in our bathroom not draining meaning we had to use the bath to wash our hands and I hate when hotels don't provide toothpaste!!

Overall it's a nice looking hotel and very clean with friendly enough staff but for a 5 star in London I just expected more. Certainly wouldn't stay in a grange hotel again as I feel other hotel chains offer similar hotels but with better perks.

Dear Reviewer,
Many thanks for your comments at the Grange Tower Bridge Hotel.
We do receive numerous compliments relating to our mattresses, however I regret if it was too firm for your liking.
Dental kits and other guest amenities are available on request.
Our staff are not required to work for longer periods than are acceptable or appropriate. You may have encountered the same receptionist towards the end of one shift and at the start of another. It appears that your check in time coincided with the changing of our morning to afternoon shift
I thank you for your additional comments which have been noted.
We look forward to the opportunity of welcoming you back to Grange Hotels in the future.

Whenever we visit London we stay here now.
Great modern hotel, fab spa, great rooms.
We used the restaurant for dinner this time, and have to say the food was so good, and reasonably priced we ate there twice.

This hotel caters well for business and family visits.
We had our 5 yr old son with us and he was made so welcome by the staff. At breakfast he was offered hot chocolate by the waiting staff which was a lovely gesture.
Also the kids menu in the restaurant is so reasonably priced.
Main courses between £3-£5 which we thought was fantastic value.
The desserts are to die for!
The fresh fruit trifle - amazing!!!!!
Will return ❤️

First of all I'd like to start this review off by saying that I'm a germaphobe, perfectionist, picky, and hard to please. That said, I went to this hotel with a critical eye. Not being from London, I didn't know what to expect and only had US hotels to compare.

I was traveling with my husband and my teenage daughter. Below are the things that made this hotel outstanding:

1. The Front Desk/First Impressions: When we first entered the hotel lobby, we were immediately greeted by a smart looking door greeter. He exchanged pleasantries with us and made us feel welcome. An excellent start to our stay. Another man promptly helped us with our luggage, asked our room number and whisked away our luggage. Our check-in was pleasant and very efficient.

2. Decor/Cleanliness: The hotel was very modern, well appointed and beautiful. Our room was not what you would call large, but it was a fair size. It was very nice, the beds were extremely comfortable and we had an amazing view from our window. We were on the top floor. I examined the bathroom holding my breath (remember I'm a germaphobe). It was absolutely spotless, modern, and the bath fixtures were glistening. Everything looked brand new. I couldn't believe how clean it was. I have never soaked in any hotel tub, but I was actually telling myself that I could possible do it here because it was so clean! The room had a safe, tea service, and all other amenities you would expect from a 5 star hotel. Very impressive.

3. Location: The location of the hotel is excellent because it is close to many of the major attractions such as the Tower Bridge, Tower of London, the Thames River, etc - all a short distance from the front door.

4. Customer Service: We were treated like "rock stars" the entire time from start to finish. Everyone we came into contact with were exceptional.

5. Room Service; We ordered from the room service menu a few times, and each time the food came to us hot and delicious. They didn't just drop the food off, they came into the room, set it up for us and made sure we were pleased.

6. Breakfast: Our stay included breakfast, and let me tell you, it was incredible. They had the best croissants and fresh baked rolls, salmon, mackerel, other meats, beans, eggs cooked different ways, cereals, yogurts, fruit, special jams and jellies, etc. Everything was top quality and delicious. The setup was very pleasing to the eye as well.

6. Above and Beyond: My daughter sprained her ankle in the middle of our week long stay. She was in pain that evening and we called to ask for help. She didn't need a doctor, but she did need first aid. They promptly sent up a bucket of ice, towels and bandages. They even came back with more stuff to help her. It was invaluable, and they did it promptly and in a way that showed they really cared. That was priceless because when you are in a different country and away from the familiarity of home, it makes all the difference in the world when people care and want to help.

I could go on and on, but I think you get the point by now - the Grange Tower Bridge Hotel is a gem in the heart of London.

Room Tip: As for a room on the top floor where you can see the city scape.

Stayed at the grange tower bridge on a short stay to London.
Some sites listing as 5star but I would rate as 4.5 star. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful and hotel was modern and clean with extensive facilities. Only poor point was the shower enclosure which didn't really keep the water in, resulting in water all cover the bathroom floor.
In terms of the location, it is not adjacent to tower bridge,we were on the 5th floor and couldn't see tower bridge ,although may see from higher floors.
Tower bridge and tower of london short 5 min walk from the hotel.
Breakfast very expensive at over £15 per person, better to goto the Witherspoon next door where we paid £25 for all four for us.

Room Tip: Try to get upper floors, may get sight of Tower bridge.
