“Perfect accomodation for our family holiday”
Reviewed 7 September 2018 for a stay in August 2018

Our family of 5 had an amazing stay at this lovely waterside condo with great views and a convenient location. Christine was very thoughtful and accommodating and provided us with all necessary information prior to our departure. With three teenagers, space comes in handy and this unit had everything we could possibly have needed. The condo itself is neat as a pin, tastefully decorated and comfy (especially the beds!). If you miss your family pets, there are two friendly neighborhood cats that act as a purring welcoming committee. The location is in a quiet residential community that's not more than a 10 minute walk to the tube station and from there, we easily navigated all of London which made it super convenient for touring and shopping. We each had a $25 oyster card and that was more than enough for 5 days travels with money left over. Canary Wharf is one tube stop away and will have everything you could possibly need . Don't miss out on Waitrose (I know that sounds silly, but its a very cool store) one stop shopping! Food, wine, housewares, perfume, cosmetics and clothing.. if you need it, they have it. On more than one evening we were simply too tired from touring and resorted to readymade take-away meals from Waitrose. To our amazement, they were super tasty!.... and we could eat in our pajamas. All and all, I cant imagine having a more comfortable or enjoyable stay. Is it the quintessential "My Fair Lady" townhouse one conjures to mind when you think of London...No. But what you do get is a convenient yet quiet, roomy yet cozy "home-away-from-home", which is how we truly felt... at home. Thank you for a great vacation!

Management Response

It is very gratifying when our guests truly enjoyed their stay. "Martha" my housekeeper of 7 years, and I work hard to provide the back up services the we would ourselves appreciate when miles away from home.
Full details are listed on the web, regards Christine

“Great place”
Reviewed 20 August 2018 for a stay in July 2018

My family consists of 5 adults. We are Australian seeking a good place to stay close to London CBD. This place ticked the boxes.

From the outset Chris was fantastic. She communicated well and tried to be really helpful. Could not have asked for better.

A couple of points to bare in mind. Our taxi dropped us at what turns out to be the rear but street entrance. This caused a moment of anxiety but was resolved by a quick phone call to Julie.

Once in we found the configuration to be virtical ie the main bedroom is 4 flights of steps.

The place is well and tastefully appointed and very comfortable. It is about 20 mins from the CBD by train.

There are plenty of good eating places including The Gun (but watch out The Gun is outrageously expensive- especially by comparison to Australian prices).

Doubt I will ever return to England again for other reasons but if I do I will be more than happy to stay at Chris's place

“Wonderful views of Thames”

My family loved this house! The views are superb! We were lucky enough to stay at Riverside during the Greenwich Festival and were treated to a parade of tall ships. We used Oyster cards to get around London and found these work on the river bus as well. A highlight of our visit was a trip to the Harry Potter film studios (book before travel to make sure you get tickets). It was delightful to return to Riverside after expeditions and we found the location surprisingly quiet and peaceful. The house was a perfect size for a family of four. Our teenagers appreciated having their own rooms. Very comfortable home away from home!

“Well presented and cosy house, great view.”

Enjoyed feeling like a true Londener being on the Isle of Dogs. This cosy house felt very welcoming. Lots of information provided - wish we'd have read it all as we realised on the last day we'd missed a few local highlights! The walk to Canary Wharf, and thus the tube, was about 20+ mins. Mostly this was enjoyable, sometimes a little tiring. Christine and Angela (who cleaned during our stay) were very helpful.
