Burger was awesome and the staff are fantastic. Everyone is really friendly. Also, very close to the imperial war museum if you want a quick bite to eat while visiting.

Thank Scott M

After a visit to the Imperial war Museum, I stopped at "The Prince" to see if the pub was as excellent as it was during my last visit in November 2016. Happily, just as good; with a fine selection of beer & food.
I had a bowl of chips which set a new record for my visits to various other pubs: a huge bowl, filled with tasty chips. So many chips that for the first time ever, although the potatoes were excellent, I could not finish.
Moral of the story: have a good thirst and appetite when you enter The Prince of Wales - you'll get your money's worth.

Good food, fun atmosphere and a pool table. It's the classic British pub. Loved it.
A few different beer choices, no out of the usual though. The fish and chips is delicious.

I was in the midst of a Saturday romp through south London stopping in on local pubs to dip in and out of the football on my way to a birthday party. Suddenly the sky turned Gray and a thorough lashing of rain shot down to send the masses fighting for the bus stops. I used the SKY sports pub finder to quickly identify The Prince Of Wales and took instant action. I was not disappointed.
One half of the pub was full with families eating their lunch joyfully with a clean and decent looking pool table in the centre. The other half was full of well received atmosphere with lively chatter and reassuring laughs.
I sat at a table in the corner that one of the locals was happy to share with me and perused the menu just as Crystal Palace were realising the season they were to have.
Steak was moderately priced and seemed like a good option. It was. A BIG plate for the wet and hungry. Cooked well. Good salad. Great paprika fries, tomato, the lot. Along with the vibe it set me in such good stead I decided to stay for another pint despite the show on display from Crystal Palace.

In conclusion I would highly recommend as a stop off. With the Elephant and Castle travel links on one side and the Imperial War museum and Waterloo on the other it is a site that is very much in the right place at the right time.

I just need to get on that pool table now.

Went here with a group of friends on a Thursday evening. Cozy friendly pub that was not crowed. The food was excellent. The fish and chips were the best . I had bangers and mash which was excellent as well. Service was very good.
