I stayed here with my family 35 years ago and the only thing that has changed is the decor. The hotel is typical european; no lift and compact in areas. Our room had 12' ceilings, 2 twin beds and a king, a fireplace, small TV, small closet and small bathroom. Again, typical european (I've never understood why people complain about these things in Europe. That's just the way they are...small.) There is plenty of counter and shelf space for things both in the room and bathroom. The breakfast was important for us. We have 2 young teen boys and they know how to eat. You get a choice of 3 hot cooked breakfasts (menu is on the website) 4 kinds of juice, tea, coffee, toast, fruit, hard boiled eggs, cold and hot cereal, meats and cheeses, croissants, muffins, fresh fruit... the list just keeps going. It's all run by a sweet family. The front desk staff are not warm and fuzzy but they help you with anything and are efficient. We checked in early and left our luggage since our room wasn't ready. We also left our luggage upon check out and walked to the British museum (3 blocks) then retrieved it for the short (12-15 min) walk to St. Pancras. Russell Square is the closest tube stop. We took the 50 min Tube ride from Heathrow Terminal 5. The hotel gives perfect instructions on how to get there from Russell Square. There were lots of people wheeling suitcases around so we didn't feel odd. Bottom line: A great location. Room 14 is superb. Breakfast is fantastic! HIGHLY recommend this hotel!

Room Tip: With few hotels offering one room for a family of 4, this hotel is golden. We stayed in room 14, in the back of the hotel, quiet, with a gentle fountain outside the window.

We have stayed here a couple of times. It is very well located, close to St Pancras and Russell Square stations on the Piccadilly line, so you can quickly get to the centre of London and west end theatres. (Buy an Oyster Card). St Pancras can be reached directly from Gatwick on the First Capital Connect line which is half the price of the Gatwick Express. We have also stayed at other hotels nearby, and this is the best, if a little more expensive, but an excellent English breakfast is included.

I have stayed in this hotel one night only as needed to take a very early flight. There is nothing special about the hotel, so probably most customers only stay there due to the convenience to access major transport routes in London.

Excellent value, includes a good breakfast and the location is really convenient, close to Euston lots of interesting shops. Room size varies a lot, and sometimes you from one of the higher floors negotiating the stairs can be a challenge if you have bulky luggage. Overall a good reliable friendly place to stay.

Stayed at the Harlingford again last week for three nights, to pick my wife up at Heathrow after a night flight from North America. Got back to the hotel about noon, she was able to catch up on her sleep then we had a very enjoyable two days in London. Our room was number 8 on the lower ground floor. As always, the hotel is kept exceptionally clean by the excellent housekeeping staff and the rooms are so well designed and comfortable, making the best use of fairly small rooms.
Internet access was good most of the time, poor at others, but it was always easy enough to use the wifi in the lounge if necessary, as there the wifi is always good.
Very quiet and peaceful, we slept well on the comfortable bed! Lower ground level, you could hear the rumble of the tube train from below, but not too bad, in fact I found it restful. Tube doesn't run after midnight anyway.
All the staff are so friendly and helpful, but if anyone gets an especial accolade, it is the breakfast room staff. They are great. Quick, efficient and friendly service, and a great breakfast too!
We'll be back in ten days time, so looking forward to that!
