“Excellent small hotel, value for money!”
Reviewed 1 April 2014

This was the 2nd time I had stayed here and it was just as good as the first time. It's a lovely little hotel, the owners are friendly and helpful. No complaints regarding the cleanliness, nice bathroom too! The breakfast was nice with plenty to choose from. The location is great, within 15-20 mins walking distance of both oxford st and kings cross station if you want to or very close to the tube. To sum it up: friendly, clean and value for money. I'll definitely be staying for my next trip.

This is a great hotel, spotlessly clean, welcoming and wonderful breakfast. A delight to visit, in a great location given it is beside UCL - it was really quiet. I would highly recommend and would definitely go back.

Fantastic hotel in a perfect location. Our room was very comfortable, clean and cosy. Beautiful breakfast, with almost too many yummy things to choose from! The staff were lovely and so helpful. Fast wifi. Would stay again and highly recommend to family and friends.

I've stayed here twice now. It was strongly recommended by a colleague, and I had to thank her after my first time here. Its location is great -- two blocks from the British Museum, not on a major road (so the rooms are quiet). The rooms are small but well-appointed and clean (and how much time are you really going to spend in ine if you're in London?). The en-suite facilities are excellent. The staff is wonderful -- kind, helpful, personable, and accommodating. I will stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the garden,

Had a enjoyable stay for two nights for attending a conference.
Room was in excellent condition and with a sound proof door, there was a little noise from the street but nothing major, and I slept excellently with my earplugs.
Friendly atmosphere and convenient location close to shops and restaurants at Tottenham Court Road (can recommend Le Pain Quotidien nearby), so will definately consider this hotel again.

The Arosfa hotel is located just a short distance from Kings Cross and has a tube station (Euston Cross, I think) and a bus stop just a short walk away.
I was looked after by Alison and she couldn't have been nicer. While booking I had indicated that I had 2 large bags and so would prefer a ground floor room (since the hotel does not have a lift) and she was kind enough to upgrade me to a Superior Double room.
The room itself was excellent! Not very large, but large enough and very tastefully decorated, with a large flat screen TV and a spotlessly clean bathroom.
Loved the stay and would definitely stay here again on my next trip to London!

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
The Arosfa Hotel is a refurbished 200-year old Georgian Town House in the heart of historic Bloomsbury district, the former home of the famous Pre-Raphaelite artist Sir John Everett Millais. The cool white garden squares and wide streets of Bloomsbury have been a pull to thinkers for centuries, and it sometimes seems like every second house has a blue plaque denoting that a great writer, scientist or philosopher once inhabited the building. It was in Bloomsbury that Karl Marx created communism, Virginia Woolf defined the twentieth century British novel, and Charles Darwin first conceived the theory of natural selection. The imposing bulk of the British Museum, home to seven millennia of human art and artefacts, dominates the area, and there are plenty of other academic institutions including Birkbeck College, the beautiful University of London Library, and RADA, London's grandest drama school. ... more   less
