Just spent two nights at Arosfa. I had a single room. It was small (good luck avoiding this in London!), but there was a full (tiny) bathroom IN the room. I had stained glass and regular pane glass windows in my room overlooking the back garden. It was very quiet and the bed was very comfortable. There's a plasma TV in the room and plenty of channels to watch while lounging on the bed. The room was clean and cute! I was extremely pleased with my stay!!!!
Location is GREAT! The Goodge train stop is a 3 minute walk away. Very convenient for getting around the city.
Every morning breakfast was served very quickly and it was very good! You can have a full english breakfast and there are juices, cereal, and breads as well.
I had to check out immediately after breakfast and everything was ready for check out. All I had to do was sign. Very efficient!
There are plenty of London traveler's guides in the reception and a very nice reception room with free internet. Any visitors must stay in the guest area and are not allowed in to your room. Hence, free of any riff-raff. :0)
A very efficient, clean, friendly place!!! I would definitely reccommend this place!!!! I am very happy I stayed here!
- Official Description (provided by the hotel):
- The Arosfa Hotel is a refurbished 200-year old Georgian Town House in the heart of historic Bloomsbury district, the former home of the famous Pre-Raphaelite artist Sir John Everett Millais. The cool white garden squares and wide streets of Bloomsbury have been a pull to thinkers for centuries, and it sometimes seems like every second house has a blue plaque denoting that a great writer, scientist or philosopher once inhabited the building. It was in Bloomsbury that Karl Marx created communism, Virginia Woolf defined the twentieth century British novel, and Charles Darwin first conceived the theory of natural selection. The imposing bulk of the British Museum, home to seven millennia of human art and artefacts, dominates the area, and there are plenty of other academic institutions including Birkbeck College, the beautiful University of London Library, and RADA, London's grandest drama school. ... more less
