Once again I had a fabulous stay at this perfectly placed hotel, which is not too far from the centre of London but far enough away not to get the noise. Nice walking distance from Blackfriars tube station so not a trek or an expensive cab ride. Rooms are wonderful as is the breakfast and the staff are so helpful and friendly, we kept the poor night porter up until 4:45am and bless him, he didn't complain. I must commend Louis the manager for running such a great hotel. If I'm in central London I would always choose to stay here. Well done all at the Mad Hatter

Room Tip: All rooms are of a perfect size and you don't get too much noise in any of the rooms. The bathr...

I haven't stayed in the hotel - although I fully intend to one day! However, my friend and I always eat in the pub on our monthly trips to London.
This is a Fullers establishment .. so the beer is excellent! The food is always of a high standard with a wide variety of choice - and the staff are friendly and polite.
All in all, highly recommended.

One night stay only but worked well. Walking distance to the South Bank, Waterloo, the City and the West End at a push. Lovely high ceiling in our room, which is rare in modern hotels. Staff seemed pleasant but we did not eat here. Would definitely return.

A good hotel with nice clean rooms. The attached pub is excellent with a good atmosphere. Well positioned for the London Eye, Southbank, Tower Bridge etc. The best bit is it is so easy to get to from Waterloo Station, on foot.
The downside was it was a little expensive and the view from the room was of a derelict building. All in All though, a good stay.

We stayed here for the 2nd time on New Years Eve because of its location just at the end of Southwark bridge. There's not too much to see just outside of the hotel, but you are just a few minutes walk to the South Bank, and the nearby attractions.
The service is a little erratic, and don't expect a quick breakfast, but everybody is generally friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean, tidy and well maintained.
The quality of the food is typical chain pub grub, but not a problem for just a night or 2, and of course there's plenty of other restaurants & choice nearby,

Room Tip: Ask to stay on the 1st or 2nd floor, as there is an infrequent intermittent noise on the 3rd floor w...

Room was a good size, was very clean and my partner (who notices these things) found the bed linen very much to her liking! Bathroom was a bit 'worn' but clean nonetheless, a good room overall. We also decided to eat here and found the food very good indeed, typical pub fare but well cooked and very well priced... All in all, we were both very happy with the Mad Hatter and would have no problem in staying here again and also recommending the place.
