Writing this from my hotel room.Totally delighted with my room and location of hotel. I have a lovely large double room and nice big bathroom with lots of hot water for a long soak. The tea and coffee tray is fab, with a real filter coffee and hot chocolate and shortbread. The room is nicely decorated and every essential you need is on hand. Looking forward to breakfast tomorrow! P.S. WIFI is fab!

This hotel was definately a great find. It is nicely renovated with everything you need. Big enough room with nice bathroom. The Alice and Wonderland theme is cool and not over the top.
The' on the run' breakfast idea is a great one. This way you can eat and on the way when you have lots to fit into your days. The fact that it is over a bar is awesome as its always a nice way to end the day. It is a relativlely close walk to Waterloo Tube station and you can actually walk to the London eye quite easily. There is also a bus right outside the hotel that can take you easily to Kings Cross station. All in all, I LOVE THIS PLACE. We will stay there again if we get the chance and recommend others to stay there.

Stayed at the madhatter with my husband two kids and my parents for a Saturday night in may, hotel is a real gem. Fantastic location just 10 minute walk from Waterloo and 5 minutes away from river and 20 minute walk to London eye. We had ajoining rooms on second floor, rooms were a fantastic size and beautifully decorated and very clean with lots of little extras... Tea tray with cafitere, bottles of water, hot choc and wide selection of teas. room although on main road did not hear noise and slept well. Convieniently the hotel has a lift too and they stored our bags so we could see London on day 2 as well.
Staff were fantastic both in hotel and restaurant, so friendly and so helpful and approachable. Very convenient having the bar and restaurant down stairs especially with 2 young kids in tow. Breakfast was lovely Buffett/continental and also cooked breakfast cooked to order fresh was delicious.

Cannot fault the hotel at all was brilliant lovely stay we will definitely be back thank you madhatter hotel fantastic

My Boyfriend and I stayed here for 1 night while in London and LOVED it. The conceirge lady was wonderful! So friendly, so accomdating! 5 stars alone.

It is close and central. Near to Southwark and the Thames as well as the Tube Station.

A must is the Borough Market which is in walking distance.

The room was great. Clean and spacious. The bathroom could have done with a slight revamp and the wallpaper was slightly peeling... other than that! Excellent.

We would stay here again!

I went to this place twice during my stay just for food & Drink, didn't actually stay at the hotel

This place is a gem, I went here twice during my visit to London, and this place would be the reason for me to go back, pretty easy to find to as its just off the Blackfriars Road

Excellent service from very friendly staff
Well kept ales and a great drinks selection
The food I ate was of an excellent standard
Bar area was smart and comfortable, with a great atmosphere on both visits

10/10

A little walk to some key attractions but the tube is right down the road. Staff is very friendly! The waitress actually talked me into eating blood pudding one morning, can't say I would order it but I am glad I tried it! If I ever come back to London I am reserving a room here again!
