“Brilliant Hotel”

We stayed here for 2 nights for my birthday and i was very impressed. I was worried about how small the rooms would be being in a central location of London, but they were spacious, and the bathroom was big too. It was a great surprise and the rooms had everything you want. The reception also rang us to make sure everything was to our needs. The main attraction of the this hotel was the location. Its in a superb location with just a 10 minute walk to Westminster and a 2 minute walk to Charing Cross tube station. There's everything around the hotel you could possibly need, cafes, shops and the National Gallery. The staff were friendly, polite and as our train wasn't until 9pm they let us keep our bags in the hotel free of charge and were so happy to help us. Brilliant Brilliant Hotel would stay here again, definitely.

We stayed here using our HHonors points so great value for us. Used the Vista rooftop bar which overlooks Trafalgar Square. Not cheap but good fun. Try to get a table in the section that overlooks the square though rather than out the back which has limited views. Service in the bar was patchy and I think they must have forgotten to place our food order for the time it took (simple Greek platter). Room was fine. We were given a Double Deluxe room with a side view of Trafalgar Square - excellent. Breakfast is in the basement and quite dark. Average selection but staff were very attentive and excellent. Only small downside was the mouse in the main bar which we saw running around when we came back for post theatre drinks. The staff didn't seem too surprised so obviously knew of this problem.

Room Tip: The view of Trafalgar Square is iconic and world class - get one if you can.

We are from the USA and stayed here for the London leg of our summer vacation. Very nice! The feel of the entire facility is "boutique". In fact, it is boutique. The Manager informed me that it is possibly the only Hilton hotel that doesn't carry Hilton badges. It retained it's original name when they purchased it. Breakfast was included in my Gold member package, as was a once a week happy hour reception in the lobby. This is a nice meeting/meet up spot for the lobby as well as the rooftop bar. The rooftop bar is VERY popular locally. Guests get priority when you want to hit the rooftop bar. This hotel is also centrally located for major tourists attractions, which is why we chose it. Walking distance to museums, Palace, Underground train, and buses.

We booked this hotel for our wedding anniversary. Fantastic location for sightseeing and theatre. Our room was diddy and I'm glad we were only staying one night. It was comfortable though, with a comfy bed and air conditioning. Mini bar in room with sensored drink removeable (but there is a shelf left empty for own use) DVD player, music system, bathrobes and slippers, all gave the feeling of that 'little extra' .Nice touches ie magnetic puzzle grids on room door with wording like 'do not disturb' gave a quirky individual style. Not sure on general hotel moody lighting but may be others taste. Hotel is in basement. Strange 'haven' style stage backing star lights but plentiful good breakfast and latte was brought very quickly upon request. The star of the hotel is the rooftop bar which is incredible, I would say needs to be booked but hotel guests do get priority. Drinks as one would imagine are expensive but definitely worth it for the amazing view over some impressive london sights! Again thoughtful touches ie umbrellas hooked to the rear of patio heaters for added comfort on cold/wet day/evenings. All staff were very welcoming and attentive and showed considerable customer service skills. There was a rather ugly stain on our bedroom carpet which unfortunately did give a rather bad first impression but all taken into consideration I feel the hotel was value for money (we booked on travel republic for £208 inc breakfast) and would recommend

Stayed here a few times now and returned for a short 4 day break. I booked this as a hilton hotel diamond member as there are benefits like wireless LAN and breakfast included...however there now seems to be a money saving exercise going on across hilton hotels...the breakfast was continental only and we were asked to pay extra for an English breakfast...no water in the room free of charge...no drinks vouchers provided..... Hilton's has previously provided drinks vouchers where there is no lounge....still check in staff was great and thanks to Austin for the early check in and the location is great for sightseeing

The Trafalgar hotel is the only unbranded Hilton in the world, we have our own signature.
we are different than others Hilton hotels.
To be different is not good or bad is simply that we do not follow a line, we accommodate our standards to our guests needs.

I am really sorry to hear that no water was sent to the room.

I Booked a 2 night stay at the Hotel as it was a surprise for my husbands birthday, the hotel was in a great location and the room was really nice and clean apart from 2 large staines on the carpet, when we arrived at the hotel the lady on reception was very helpful (Melanie) but then she asked if we wanted breakfast!!!!! with the price I paid for a 2 night stay I would of thought that breakfast would of been included but it wasn't and that was an extra cost.....and the next morning we went down for breakfast some of the staff was (lets say) a little rude... when I visit London again I will be looking for another hotel in the same location .we was given the WI-FI number but then was told that if we logged in when we was in our room we would be charged for it !!!

We didn't stay here as a resident. However we were lucky enough to be able to use the rooftop terrace on a stunning sunny day mid week. Best to book and reserve if you can otherwise just try your luck. Stunning location with great views of Trafalgar square.
