I stayed here for one night on business. Hotel was clean and smart and staff very pleasant and helpful. A much nicer travel lodge than some I have stayed in. The room was as expected although the bed was huge improvement and very comfy. The bathroom was mostly very clean, although there were some strange marks on the ceiling above the shower. Obviously you get what you pay for; so there was no air con and the breakfast was adequate but nothing to write home about. My main issue was that when I entered my room, the curtains were closed, which I naively took as a measure to keep the room cool. However when I pulled them my view was the brick wall of the building next door, making the whole room very dark. Even with the window open it was very hot and i was disturbed by the droning sound of a generator which stopped at around ten but started again very early the next morning. I mentioned this at reception the next morning and was told that next time I should ask for a quiet room. All in all, clean, friendly and economic but not restful.

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room.

We stayed here recently for two nights with a large group of friends; we arrived early, reception kindly offered to take our bags behind reception as we were heading out for lunch.
The rooms are newly refurbished, clean and spacious; the staff are very friendly and polite.
For hygiene reasons, the pillows really should have protectors on them, they are new at present, but will not last long without them.
There are a lot of really great restaurants and bars within walking distance to the hotel. It’s walking distance to the Tube.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back are quiet

Booked a family room very cheaply for 3 nights including breakfast. Child's bed was made up on arrival which has never happened elsewhere. On arrival there was no parking available at the hotel but we were directed to a road with free overnight parking after which we paid £5 per night to reserve parking at the hotel. Great location only minutes walk to an abundance of restaurants and a little further to the tube station and buses. Breakfast was of a good standard and plentiful. Beds were extremely comfortable and room was large. Not sure whether this is a new hotel or recently refurbished but rooms were of a very high standard and the room and bathroon were spotlessly clean. The best thing about the hotel was the staff, all friendly and more than helpful. We had a drink in the bar one night but it was pretty empty. A couple of down sides - 1) our room was at the front of the building inbetween the police station and the fire station so there were sirens go past all night 2) There was nowhere to put cloithes. There are a few hangers but other than that had to keep clothes in suitcases under the beds.
All in all great value for money in a fab location, would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at side or back of building away from sirens of fire and police staion

Pleasantly surprised with the service provided.

Room was basic, but the bed in particular was unbelievable, one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in.

They went out of their way then to help us print out some confirmation tickets to a London attraction, and then, on the day we were flying out they very kindly agreed to mind our bags for a few hours after checkout despite it not being their policy usually.

All in all, the service prompted me to write a review, which I don't often do, so I guess that speaks for itself.

I was there two times, so I have enough info to write on: the main 'issue' is the staff, not really helpful, never active if asked for help. The impression was totally unprofessional. Rooms are very small, but decently clean. No place to put clothes if you stay some nights. Breakfast is optional: it's not so expensive, you don't get much in London for that price, but the qualiy is pretty low. General feeling the hotel gave me is bad (e.g. I always found drunk 'guests' in the lobby at weekend evenings), you really feel you are in a cheap hotel (even if the hotel is not that cheap if you get it last minute). You can find better alternatives I guess.

Stayed here last month- an ideal location just 25 mins by tube from central london
The rooms have recently been upgraded and there is a small bar within the dining area
Breakfast was included by booking via an agent at a decent price
Staff very helpfull and polite - this ranks as good as premier inns but at a cheaper price

Room Tip: rooms on the front can be noisy due to main road - ask for a side or back room on higher floors
