Me and my partner stayed here when we came down for a weekend break. We choose the hotel due to the location based directly outside paddington station. It was such a nice experience to get off the train and not have to get a taxi or the tube trying to locate the hotel. The room was really nice and clean. And had some nice perks it had a radio/alarm and I pod/iphone dock. A really sturdy ironing board and good quality iron, and this was the first hotel I have stayed in with a proper hairdryer. The bathroom was really good a nice size and had a really good shower. The bed was really comfortable had a feather duvet and nice pillows. The curtains were really thick making the room nice and dark. We payed £150 for the room I feel we got real value for money it was much better quality than say a travel lodge which when I've stayed before have cost around a £100 I think the location so having no tube/taxi costs back and forth to station makes up for the extra room cost and the room I have paid more and had less quality in London. I would stay again and defiantly recommend.

Stayed for 2 nights on a work trip. Got a reasonable price via hotels.com, and the place was absolutely fine. But it's easy to see how it could be a lot better.

Pros:
- superb location, depending on where you need to be, but especially if you travel via LHR.
- large rooms, high ceilings, generally good fit out. And reasonably quiet and dark for sleeping. Good beds.
- speedy checkout service.

Cons:
- stupidly expensive wifi. £75 for 6 days, say what? £15 for 1 day. Just silly. Plus connection was patchy.
- poor breakfast: 3 star experience, pretty greasy, nothing very fresh or appealing. I ate once, skipped the second. Would really not be hard to improve.
- key cards stopped working both days. Pretty annoying when it's late and there's a queue at reception.
- no atmosphere in the lobby bar, not a place you'd want to stay, which is a shame.

Service was so-so, not bad but could be better.

Stayed for 2 nights. Excellent location- just next to the Underground & a beautiful Over ground Train station. In fact the back exit is part of the over ground train station. Excellent for connectivity to LHR by train as Heathrow Connect & Express start from there. Best for business travellers. Excellent for leisure travellers as well as great bus connections to Central London and many tourist attractions in London.

The location close to Paddington station cannot be beat. Very convenient by Heathrow express to and from Heathrow. Paddington area itself is very convenient with many restaurants around and close to major London attractions. The hotel itself is very nice, rooms are comfortable but pricey.

Arrived early from a long flight and the only room available was on the first floor which overlooked the street in front of hotel. We knew immediately upon being shown the room why it was still available. The room faced a busy street in front of the hotel and we can hear the street noises with the windows closed. At night there were inexplicable machine noises which started up at various times/people shouting from the street. We accepted the drawbacks and opted for the room anyway since we were so tired and did not want to wait several hours for a better room to become available. We did asked the front desk agent if we can switch for a quieter room the next day and was told to check back the next day. He did not offer to follow up on our request. We repeated our request with another agent and got a much more helpful response from the another agent. He told us to check back the next morning and gave us his name and said to ask for him in the morning and he'll see what he can do. Unlike the first agent's response, his willingness to personally follow up on our request was more in line of the level of service we expect from a hotel of this caliber.
Hotel itself needs an upgrade. Even though our room was spacious and clean, the exception was the carpet which showed heavy use. Worn carpets in stairs/hallway and the theme is repeated in the lobby which was small and cramped with worn chairs and sofas. Free wi-fi is available only in the lobby (ask the front desk for wifi-code) but it's hard to find a seat in peak times.
Housekeeping did an excellent job keeping our room clean. We asked for extra towels and soaps at two different times and they were very prompt in delivering our requested items. I give them 5 stars.
Location of hotel is very convenient for public transportation. The back of the hotel is connected to Paddington train station and tubes. We did wonder whether access to the hotel from the train station is controlled at night. One of the bus line stops directly in front of the hotel and the other one is around the corner. There are two mini markets and restaurants at the train station.

Given the price we paid for this hotel, it did not meet on our expectation.

Room Tip: Lower level rooms facing street are noisy

Stayed for one night as in London for a concert at the O2 but wanted a location near the train station. The hotel is perfect location straight off train up escalator into hotel. The underground is next door & just a few stops to Central London for shops & all tourist attractions.
We had a lovely room on the 4th floor. Unfortunately I had a bad nights sleep as you could hear a base beat from music outside somewhere. I didn't complain as this was not the hotels fault. The hotel itself was very quiet at night. Great breakfast no queuing for tables, lovely food.
Would definately stay again.

This time we stayed 3 days to "acclimate" to the time (last time was overnight). A comfortable bed in a bigger than average European room. Very convenient to the Heathrow express, but Paddington Station is away from the West End and the City and the nearby Underground stop was closed this time. Starbucks conveniently off the lobby for breakfast. The lobby is a thoroughfare for train travelers.

Room Tip: Rooms are quieter on upper floors, but noise is not a problem.
