After a long week of meetings I got grounded in London by something called Eyjafjallajökull! While I certainly would have preferred to get back to my family I was lucky enough to get the last available room at the The Levin.
There is in particular three things I will remember:
A) Perfect Location: a 10sec walk to the subway, next to Hyde Park for early moring jogging, easy stroll to Sloane Square for a great breakfast followed by Satchie Gallery and King's Road, and so on! COuld not think of a better location in London!
B) Great Atmosphere: the rooms are really spacious and had absolutely everything one would need! The hotel itself is a great blend of old and new and has a very warm atmosphere!
C) The Team: Ava and Harald offered exceptional service in a situation which for quite some people stranded was not the easiest! It was not only me who was very thankful for their support and warm words! Not even the darkest cloud of volcanic ashes could win over Ava's friendly smile!
No doubt - I will be back! Hopefully not as a business traveller but with my wife. And hopefully without volcanic activities - but also knowing that just in case there is another eruption I would have a great place to stay!
