I stayed at this Hotel on our recent visit to London in May 2014. The rooms are very small but cosy to say the least. The owners are very friendly and helpful and the buffet breakfast was very English and tasty. there was lots to choose from and if inclined you could have a little extra. It is very close to Lancaster Station and easy to get a train all over London. It is also close to the Huge Hyde park where I went for a walk on my way to Harrods - you must visit Harrods just to say you have been there. It is an amazing store and very posh.
Getting back to the Hotel, there is internet access and free Wii Fi and a nice sitting area down stairs where you can have a read undisturbed.

Room Tip: I think all the rooms are about the same size, but adequate for a short stay, the street is quiet an...

So I was attempting to travel to London on short notice, and meant that I had to book a hotel for the night.

The Lancaster Hall advertised available beds, I paid my deposit through the travel agent which was the room fee and additional charges.

To only be told by the hotel less than 20 minutes after conformation of my booking, that they actually did not have any rooms available. There was no sign of an apology and they did not seem to care, that all that could be refunded was the room fee, and I lost out on the additional charges I had to pay.

So I would no longer stay here again if the opportunity arose as I would not be 100% sure if my booking was secure or not. I am completely dissatisfied with the whole experience, and had to pay out more to get a lower quality hotel because the management at the Lancaster Hall are unable to update the systems regularly.

The only good thing about the hotel, is it was a stone's throw away from my meetings shame I did not stop here because of bad management in the booking systems.

My wife and I were looking for a place to stay that would not break the bank and was centrally located near transportation hubs. We found it at the Lancaster Hall Hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We were given a buffet breakfast each morning, with as much as you wanted to eat. They even made special arrangements for us to eat early one morning because of an early departure. We will stay at this property again the next time we visit London.

Room Tip: Ask for a room that does not face the Craven Terrace. Outside dinners from across the street were v...

This is not a fancy hotel and you are not paying fancy prices, as long as you remember that you will be happy at The Lancaster Hall Hotel. Very well located for the Paddington, Lancaster Gate, Kensington Gardens area. The staff were excellent, as was the continental breakfast, the rooms were very small, but clean, and who goes to London to stay in the room? There is a large sitting area downstairs. This is good value for money especially considering the location

Nice, clean reasonably priced hotel near Paddington Station and Lancaster Gate Tube. Excellent staff. Large dinning area with a wonderful breakfast that's included in room rate. Huge deep bath with lots of hot water! Hotel has lift that makes hauling luggage around easy. Hotel has locked luggage room and they're very gracious in allowing storage before/after check in/out. Nice foyer that serves beverages in the evening. Only negative is that the street is quite noisy, but the hotel has no control over that. Would stay again.

I recently returned from an 8 day stay at the Lancaster Hall Hotel in London. The location of this hotel could not have been better. It is situated a short 5 minute walk from both Paddington Station and Lancaster Gate tube stop. Very easy to walk to the hotel after taking the Heathrow express. As well, the hotel is on a quiet narrow street well away from traffic and noise. There is an excellent pub on the corner and several good Italian restaurants on the same street - very welcome after long days of sightseeing.
The rooms are small but very clean. The hotel only offers single beds and the mattresses were soft but despite a bad back I slept well every night. Each room has a small television and coffee/tea, The bathroom was very tiny, only one person at a time. Pack a small suitcase as the cupboard only fit 2 carry-ons nicely. The decor is plain but serviceable. The price of the room included a typical continental breakfast served in a delightful dining area off the lobby. The hotel has an evening bar and the drinks there are cheaper than other places. The lobby has one computer with paid internet.
The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. I have stayed at the Lancaster Hall several times and have not been disappointed with the service.

Lancaster Hall is located within 10min walk to Paddington Stations and Lancaster Gate underground. The trains were easy to understand and travel between
It is a short walk to gorgeous Hyde Park
We stayed in the hotel side (rather then YMCA) and found rooms to be clean and basic. Not a lot of room once bags are down on floor. Bathroom is small but serviceable.
Only downfall is walls are thin and you can hear a bit of what is going on around you.
Cold breakfast available, no complaints there either
I would recommend and also stay here again
