Reviewed 4 July 2011

Had a family room with two adults and two teenagers which was a bit small but not too small. The breakfast was excellent. Would stay here again.

We stayed here for six nights. The location was great with an easy walk to St Pancras International/ Kingscross Metro. Close to a lot of nice eateries to suit just about everyone and a supermarket to buy any odds and ends you might need. The room was spotless in every respect. Bed comfortable and the room quiet - ours was to the back and on the third floor - 57 steps to get to it. If you have any problems with steps you'd need to request a ground floor room as the stairs are also quite steep. We didn't run out of hot water in the shower although the water could have been hotter and the water pressure is just about non exsistent. Breakfast is adequate, there was no fruit or yoghurt, there was a really nice Muesli, cooked breakfast was the usual. Internet connection in the room was good. Staff were extremely friendly. In the reception area there is coffee, water and fruit juices for use during the day as well which we found refreshing after long days walking the streets of London. All in all would recommend the hotel.

This was a one night stop before an early Eurostar departure. The hotel is very close to St Pancras and Kings X, and easy to find. It was clean and friendly, somewhat better than I'd expected for this type of hotel. No lift, though, so it was quite an effort to get a heavy suitcase up and down a very narrow staircase (but the receptionist helped!).

Great location, very peaceful surroundings and very near St Pancras International (5mn walk). You can easily walk to Trafalgar Square , Covent Garden and the city centre. The room was spotless and quite pleasant. There's no elevator though. We stayed there for one night - when we arrived the staff were helpful but it was quite impersonal in the end -breakfast was ok but not unforgettable. Anyway, it was a good choice.

I stayed here with my friend and my liitle boy. It is a nice family style hotle. very clean and tidy. The members of staff were very friendly although not very knowledgeable about tourist informaton. The rooms were average size and was very clean. But the beds were uncomfortable. The breakfast was good.

Thank you for your generally favourable review.

We have not received any other comments about uncomfortable beds and bed comfort is a very much a matter of personal taste. We are, however, checking all rooms now to see if any mattresses are defective and will replace them. We do have guest comment slips in every room and would ask that guests let us know while they are staying with us if they have a problem so that we can locate the room and deal with the complaint immediately.

The Euro hotel was a truly great find.... great rate, breakfast was better than any equally starred hotel I've stayed at in London OR Paris... Clean (always someone mopping), fresh smell at all times..... Room was perfect.Great bed. No ensuite,(my choice) but 5 seconds down the hall I had my own shower and toilet (and a key to lock it during my stay!)... Great location, quiet, 5 minutes from bus stop (#91 to Trafalgar square, 10 munites on tube - Russell station) Good restaurants (London Pub, Indian and Greek) within 5 minutes. Staff accomodating, Price also a real plus, considering the location. Try to figure out that shower!! This hotel will be my home away from home in all future trips to London.

This was our first trip to London and wanted to stay close to all the attractions, without "breaking the bank". The Euro Hotel is a very quick walk from the Russell Square tube station (and a straight shot from Heathrow). That made it very convenient. The price was reasonable and included breakfast. The staff members were professional and available if needed...but we didn't find them overly warm or friendly. We had a room on the 3rd level (2nd floor), and with the unusually warm weather while we were there, it was uncomfortable and difficult sleeping. The room did not have airconditioning, or a fan, and the windows did not have screens. No issues with mosquitos thank goodness, but the flies were really annoying, as we needed to keep the windows open because of the hot days/nights. I booked this hotel, based on lack of availability in better rated hotels in the same general area and price range... If/when we plan another trip to London I will start looking earlier to give myself more options. I would stay at the Euro again if no better options were available.

So sorry that there was no fan in your room at the time of your stay. We have fans for all of the rooms which we put away during the winter. The unusually warm weather caught us by surprise too and we were in the course of getting the fans out of store and cleaned for use when you were with us. Please if you do come again, let us know if there is anything you need for your room while you are staying with us and we will do all we can to help.
