We had two rooms for 3 days. The hotel is quiet and we love the dark curtains. The hotel is a block and a bit from the Piccadilly line and BC Museum. We used this location as our base camp to see London. Very handy. One line from Heathrow, either a short walk or tube to the other sites.

With kids, we wanted a pool to burn off excess energy. That worked well. The pool hours are pretty good. There are tons of restaurants close to eat dinner at as well.

Breakfast buffet was included in our stay. It was convenient and good breakfast buffet food.

All in all it was a great choice for our needs.

Room Tip: Families - there are no interconnecting rooms. But they work hard to keep you close. Adjoining isn...

Returned to this hotel this summer. Stayed here about four years ago. Forgot how good it was and how easy it is to get around London from this fantastic location. The hotel is ideally located for all major city centre attractions.
The hotel is extremely comfortable and the staff are fantastic. The staff are extremely helpful and ensure that everything is done to ensure you have a pleasant, comfortable and memorable stay. The room was well appointed and had all the facilities you would expect of a hotel of this standard in central London including free wi-fi. The spa and leisure facilities are excellent.
The food in the restaurant was of a high standard. Breakfast is good value for money.
Would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Had a great stay here with my friend. This was the second time I stayed here and this time was even better than the last. The room was excellent - spacious, spotless and the beds were so so comfortable. The staff in all areas (check in / restaurant/ bar / concierge/ etc) were very pleasant and extremely courteous. We had a meal from the pre theatre dinner menu on the first evening and it was excellent value - great food and service! The hotel is so convenient to the tube -about 3 minute walk and within easy walking distance of Covent Garden and many of the theatres. If you're flying in to Stansted you can get a tube straight from Liverpool Street Station without having to change from one line to another. Would I recommend this hotel - well I think the fact that I returned says Yes definitely even though it is a wee bit pricey.

Room Tip: I was on the 8th floor - not a street view. Lovely and quiet.

We booked this as a "mystery hotel" through last minute.com. There were 4 adults staying in two double rooms-one on the second floor and one on the third floor.
We stayed one night on Sunday 28th July.
First of all, the staff were all really friendly and helpful-which is at odds with some reviews on here. We arrived about 5pm an went straight to the pool which was warm and tranquil. There is also a steam room and sauna. We didn't go into the gym or spa, but only because we didn't have time-maybe next time.
The rooms were spacious with air con which was very much appreciated. The bed was large and comfortable and the room was quiet. All of us slept really well.

The hotel is 5mins from the middle of Covent Garden. Really, the only thing which was a it of a pain was the busy traffic around the hotel which made crossing the roads to get to it a bit time consuming, but this is hardly the fault of the hotel!

I would definitely stay here again.

Me and my boyfriend stayed here last weekend (27th July) for one night as we were having a weekend break in London. The hotel is in a brilliant location with lots of places to eat including a sainsburys just 3 minute walk from the hotel if you'd like to just get a few snacks. Its a 2 minute walk from the Holborn tube as well.

The hotel is very clean and the reception staff were very friendly when we arrived. Our room was on the 8th floor room number 817. The views were very nice and could even see part of the London Eye in the distance.
It was lovely and tidy although the bathroom was very small so you can only fit one person in there at a time. The website states an iron and an ironing board is provided but there wasnt any which was a bit of a dissapointment when you need to iron your clothes! The air conditioning was also quite loud and didnt really produce cold air, but this didnt really bother me too much. Apart from this everything was great and the beds were very comfy.

We used the swimming pool in the late afternoon which was fantastic only problem I found was the pool wasnt very warm! If the pool was heated I proberly would have stayed in there a bit longer.

Overall I had a lovely stay at The Holborn and would recommend to friends and family.

Room Tip: Your might want to have a room near the back of the hotel if you are a light sleeper as the road is...

The hotel is beautiful, clean and well presented. I had a lovely long weekend here for my birthday, it's placed in a lovely area. However for the amount of money we paid, our room was tiny, and some of the electrics didn't work. Fortunately we didn't spend too much time in the room, London is fab! Expected a little more for the amount we paid.

Firstly location: 3 minutes walk from Holborn station, 5 minutes to British Museum, 15 to Oxford street, and near to the theatres.
Secondly: Staff- Receptionist and concierge welcoming and smiling all the time, very attentive. Front desc tried their best to give a room ASAP[ we came at 12!], and when we check out we could store our luggage easily.
Another thing: We were lucky to have opportunity upgrade room+ breakfast (special package)... was worth it!
what's more? Facilities: Sky bar- cold drink on the roof in the middle of London? Just Fantastic!
Swimming pool, spa- refreshing and energising.
We Will come back for sure.

Room Tip: Ask reception for packages, you can save some money!
